I think having both Harry Z and Wellwood in the line up might not be a great plan, they are similar players.

JVR?

pretend you've been asleep since last wednesday at 7:00 and you woke up this morning and read that the flyers are up 3-1 in the best of 7 series. How would you feel? you'd be pumped. they had one bad game and they will make adjustments and put in a better effort tomorrow night.

You're right. Regardless of our depleted defense and shaky goaltending, I really think this series will finish in our favor. There is a reason only 4 teams have come back like that in the history of the league, its hard.

I was going to avoid all sports media until tomorrow night, but I'm glad I did'nt. It's therapeutic.

If JVR isn't ready, maybe Holmstrom, he's a defensive minded guy who can take faceoffs. Dressing Shelley makes zero sense.

Hopefully, but Gus is playing for Grossmann not Kubina.

Holmstrom is a solid choice, or Harry Z. Last night I said Shelley because it was a close out game 4 and after some rough play by PIT. Tomorrow is different. I would go Harry Z if I had to choose.

Just gotta survive this round. If Meszaros is skating already Im starting to believe he could play in these playoffs maybe even the next round. Also if we've learned anything this season about Bryzgalov it's that he gets better with more games. Right now he's nursing an injury but that should heal as time goes on. I think you get past this series and things will tighten up. No one left in the east with the firepower the Pens bring except Washington and they have a goalie the Flyers can get too imo anyway, if both teams meet.

I'll admit he deserved a game after they gave time to Asham.

It seems like Harry Z is in Laviolette's doghouse for whatever reason, as Marc D astutely pointed out Harry Z and Wellwood are similar players, dressing Holmstrom can enable the Flyers to move Briere to wing where he would be slightly less of a defensive liability.

Smart. You sure your name isn't Paul Holmgrem.

I had nothing to back up Harry Z except he has some good speed and the counter rush by the PENS was killing us last game.

Same with Kennedy and Malkin. How many headshots have the Flyers laid on the Pens this series?

Its a moot point as JVR will be playing.

And If its me, Tomorrow you rotate your top 4 defense Carle-Lilja and Timonen-Coburn with spot duty from whoever you choose to play. When you win, you will have at least a week to rest.

Seriously, Harry Z.

If Grossmann wasn't dinged, I'd dress Gus as a seventh D-man.
