Apparently the word never means 11 months. Hmmmm.... who knew.
I never have to pay taxes again using Snider's definition of the word. - PLindbergh31
I don't think he meant it would never happen even if one goalie got hurt. I can tolerate this if both Bryz and Bob get hurt but hoping to beat this team by starting leighton is utterly stupid. |

Would love to see the Pens claim Bartulis... that would be some bulletin board material. |

Sounds like JVr has a good shot at playing. Practices with read and Voracek today. - funmaster18

No time to be pissed, he's busy counting everyone's money. - PLindbergh31
No he's pissed. One thing about Snider and it reflects in this franchise's success for that I am utterly grateful for, is that he cares about this team winning. I don't just believe that I know that and will never question his desire to bring us a cup. |

I'm a realist. Just had a horrible feeling last night. Then all the BS w/the media made it a stone cold lock. |

I'm talking out my ass with the Leighton thing. They're going to live or die with Bryz.
As for Luongo, it's incredibly doubtful he would ask/accept a trade to TO. I see FLA or TAM as clearly the front runners. I still believe Luongo would have to ask Gillis to be moved. Gillis has stated he won't go and ask players who have a NTC if they would be willing to waive it. If the Canucks do pull off the miracle with Schneider in goal it just may happen. - rockychocbill

Briere was a minus-9 - Crimsoninja
Just like I thought.
I would definately switch up that line, because IMO you cant limit Briere's ice time in the Playoffs, just get him on a line with defensively responcible players. I think at least Voracek, and maybe Wellwood or Read if your unwilling to put Hartnell down there. But I think with the way Hartnell has progressed in his game, and the way Briere plays in the POs, I would put them with Voracek, and put someone faster on Giroux line to make up for Jagr's lack of speed...
Read-Giroux-Jagr
Hartnell-Briere-Voracek
JVR-Schenn-Simmonds
Wellwood-Couturier-Talbot...
I know its not happening, but I would try it out... |

It could piss them off enough to put it away next game, then getting deflated by an almost win... - RooNosHockey
I think it was a better loss for the forwards than the goalies. Blow out losses are awful for a goalie's psyche, especially when the fans mock cheer stopping a dump in.
That being said, it's not impossible for a goalie to rebound. Fleury got pulled in Game 5 of the Finals in 2009 and came back to put up two good games and Fleury looked absolutely broken after Game 3 and didn't do awful yesterday (after 2 soft goals) |

So, what are the Flyers faithful thoughts on..
Suspension for Rinaldo?
Suspension for Malkin? |

Thank you. Because some people can be in business and be passionate about more than the financial bottom line.
And some people will be miserable on principle. |

Which happened more for Bob that Bryz. The giant cheer for the backup coming in always makes me want the backup to suck eggs just to make the so-called fans feel like the chumps they are. |

Throw him out of the league forever for all I care. (See that? Contrary to popular belief, most fans don't like the Rinaldo types on the team)

I'm a tell you right from now, Snider's efforts with this franchise have given me a great time over the years. I have not lived to see a cup yet, but firmly believe it's coming in the near future. Can still do it this year but somethings have to happen.
When the day comes and Mr. Snider leaves us it will be a very sad day for me. I might actually shed tears. Not just because of what he's given us in hockey but also I understand the work he does through charity etc. |

I found it amusing how people were calling for bob then he comes in and is imo worse. But from the play I saw in front of both goalies I didn't expect much.
Maybe that's a negative to Bryzgalov that he can't raise his game when the team is playing poorly in front. Either way i think it's become clear that if they play better in front of him he'll play better accordingly. |
