If he's in net and the Flyers lose this series, which they will if he plays. I will call for lavy's job and I just stated on this very thread a few pages back how thankful I am for him being the coach. But the decision to play leighton ow nwould be a debacle at this point. |

The team that doesn't try to will lose. Cant go deep playing so loose with the defense. - funmaster18

We have zero information and it's only practice. I'm sure bob would get the start of bryz is injured. |

If Bryz can't go you play Bob it's that simple. |

For some reason this coach has the unfreaking believable desire to play Leighton. |

Exactly. Even the back up practices, which he will be if Bryz is indeed injured. |

Honestly, I'd go with Leighton instead of Bob.
Bob looked horrendous last night. Horrible. Brutal. |

If you choose to go down that road...please proceed.
I'm staying here because it was not my intention to get involved in 'speculation', or feed some anger you have toward Crosby, Malkin or the Penguins.
My intention was simply to point to what happened and raise a valid question.
If the evidence had shown otherwise, like with Steckel, I would have admitted it.
If he wasn't playing the puck...I would have admitted it.
If he had raised his elbow as he hit Grossman...I would have admitted it.
- icedog97
Dude he spread his arms just before the hit come on! im dont trying to convince you. The penguins are playing dirty that the bottom line. - Philly1980
Looked like he had his right hand (only) on the stick as he lunged for the poke check. So his left would be used to balance himself.
Try that sometime...it's tough not to use the left arm for balance if you have one hand on your stick and are going into the curved area of the boards trying to poke check.
Of course, you could argue he should have had both hands on his stick if you want.
Anyway...it sure looks to me, from the video, that as he realizes there will be contact, he brings his arm in.
I just don't think you can argue about him playing the puck...because he did.
And I'm pretty sure, before I pointed it out to you, you probably didn't notice that.
I guess that's all I was trying to say in the first place.

Did you not watch them in the playoffs last year? He pushed leighton out there. There was no reason to start him in game 6 against Buffalo. There was no reason to throw Bob in the pressbox after game 2 either. |

I am surprised no one has freaked out that Leighton is practicing with the Flyers right now. - KGBflyers10
Might be consideration for him as the backup to Bryz. The Pens seem to have Bob figured out. Just go high.
If Bryz continues to struggle I would not be shocked at all to see Leighton between the pipes. |

Look you guys destroyed us and Malkin went for the head. Game 5 will be a war. I hope BOTH teams play cleaner and just focus on hockey. I feel the game will be won by us but I know you guys could do the same again. Good luck and have a nice day. |

Because that happened in once it means he has a desire to play him? It was a weird situation last year, that's all. If he had any better options Leigton would not have played.. |
