I just hope they don't say "we know what we need to do" b/c saying your going to play better and actually doing it are two different things. I just hope they figure it out for game 4. There should be no more excuses.

No one on the team showed that excitement being in the playoffs, especially after missing it last year. Our Star players have no motivations on the ice so far. I am very surprised and disappointed in Kovi'e and Volchenkov's play.
I think TZ is too rusty to play on the 1st line after missing almost a year. Sykora should not be near 2nd line. And of course Marty despite his greatness those fluky goals will kill us.
I do not know about anyone else but I just can not forget Staal's tying goal. It was stoppable.

You're right on the money, i was at the game last night and Ilya looked completely unmotivated, hes acting like he is in Atlanta again and unmotivated. If he wants to win he needs to start playing like it. And on the Marty comment he needs to play smarter and not let in those easy goals.

The Panthers have played their worst hockey in the first period in game 1 and game 3. They look like chickens running around with their heads cut off. Lucky for us Pete DeBORE is your head coach. We've seen it time and time again blown leads when he coached the Panthers. We would blow 4 goal leads in the 3rd period with his PLAY NOT TO LOSE mentality of coaching.

As a Panther fan I still think the Devils have a great shot at winning this series. Our team is still way to inexperienced and game 4 at the Rock is going to be very difficult to win. This Panthers team doesn't ever quit so anything could happen obviously but I think this series is going back to Florida 2-2. Should be a great finish, hope it goes 7 games.

Yes, Volchenkov has been terrible but I think the main problem is our inability to to create rebounds on shots and inability to win faceoffs. The Panthers know they will win all of the crucial face offs in the game so we have to try to score off of the rush which has been highly ineffective unless the Panthers are off of their game. Rather than taking the play to them we are playing a style that needs the Panthers to make mistakes. There has been virtually no effective cycling the entire series.

Also, no poopty penalties. Our penalty kill is not doing well but the penalties are killing our momentum. The Panthers top line has really only been dangerous on the power play.

In regards to the Goc line, they are the best all around and quiet frankly we need our best defensive line out against them. The main problem is that Sykora is playing and literally has zero percent of his brain cells devoted to attempting to play hockey intelligently.

we really need to win tomorrow.. we're done if we lose. done. and i don't want to be done.. not yet. the playoffs just started, i'd like to watch Devils hockey a bit more. No I don't want to get eliminated by the Rangers.. but i'd rather lose to them in 7 than lose to Florida in 5... or at all.
Hopefully we'll draw Boston and the Rags will lose to the surprising Senators.
They gotta get their heads out of the ground and play some freaking hockey.

Bergy/Sammy/Goc are a solid second line. We didn't get to see them too much during the regular season until the last quarter due to injuries. I would agree that you should put your best defensive line against them and use a fast skating line against our top line. Either way though your forwards will have to disrupt our breakout with their forecheck or backcheck aggressively to slow our speed through the neutral zone. That will lessen the pressure on your defensemen.
