Like you said, there are plenty of players in the league that act like scum bags......that's part of his game, but a small and needed part if you ask me. - Homer
If you are a main piece of a team and don't have an edge, your team won't do as well as they should.

I don't know about anyone else but I am thoroughly enjoying the demise of the Pens this post season. I am also coming to the realization that Sid the Kid is truly a punk and the league would be better without his spoiled brat attitude.
I know this will piss off a lot of folks but I really feel the "Kid" lacks class and is as cheap as they come. Is he talented? Absolutely - he is unreal. His character is what I question and dislike. If he played with 1/2 the class of Wayne or Mario - I could deal with him.
I am getting sick of the media and everyone kissing his ass and afraid to piss the little twirp off. Pulling hair, hitting gloves, sucker punches, having everyone fight his battles - have fun golfing this year with my Sabres - Jerk - Peca27
The guy double-shifted when his team was down by 3 goals in an effort to get a rally going.
How many Sabres do that?
He didn't pull Giroux's hair. It was a lame attempt on the part of CG to draw an added penalty. He had his jersey. I said it before, CG complaining is like Ricky Williams whining when someone gets their hands tangled in is nest when they tackle him.
Don't like it?
Get a friggin' hair cut.
This is hockey, not Lollapalooza
He fights many of his own battles, usually after he has to step up because some ass clown wants to wave the "I took out Sid" trophy.
The kid has balls and talent; something this team sorely lacks.

Holy crap is anyone going to play defense in this series? - Pierceme69
I think that it has been a terrible series, and I am not even considering the rough stuff.
What I like about playoff hockey is sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for the next big goal to be scored. Watching this series, I expect a goal to be scored every two minuets.
And I enjoy goal scoring much more than defensive hockey, but his is ridiculous.

I'll take a 5-4 game over a 2-1 game any day of the week too
But this is pretty bad
U know what though?
Between all the goals... And all the brawls & hits... And suspensions...
I can't remember a series being talked about so much - jdfitz77

You would think Pennsylvania was Utopia and this series was the battle for it.
Shanahan is an utter failure as 'disciplinarian'. Torres is suspended 'indefinitely'? Was that hit that bad? If Hossa was not carted off the ice would he have gotten such a stiff penalty?

Its been brutal. They need some kind of consistency,
Whether a guy gets injured or not

Don't get me wrong it was a suspendable hit. Late, to the head, AND he left his feet. But it was an open ice hit. I think the cross checks to the face are way more severe and no one got an 'indefinite' suspension.

It's indefinite pending his hearing, which Torres/Yotes/PA wanted delayed until Friday, since they play Thurs this prevents him from playing in that game.
