Does anyone think with the way Klein has emerged that Nash might be inclined to let either Suter or Weber go? Extend Klein, Radulov and one of Web/Sut and you guys are set.
- whipper334

If (or as I think when) Suter leaves the Preds look at a trade/free agency for another blueliner. Klein has been clutch the past 2 games no doubt - but I would be wary of 'Joel Ward' syndrome. Ask the Caps how that pick up is doing for them.

Side note: Will the Preds or Bridgestone have a screen outside the arena in the plaza for game 5? Probably can't afford a ticket and I'd still like to be in the atmosphere of insane fans.

Pretty sure the outside screen will be up for Friday... there are plans for a plaza party both before and after the game...

Weather permitting of course...

NO ONE should be looking past game 5. This series could easily be 3-1 Detroit right now. Our forwards are simply going to have to play better Friday as I think Detroit is going to leave everything out there on the ice to get the series back to their place.

Here's to a good game - GO PREDS!

Talk about winning ugly, last night was stereotypical. Detroit has a great system and they make few mistakes, Preds were fortunate to make even fewer and to have 57 and 8 in the right spot at exactly the right time.

I was feeling the the officiating cards were being stacked against the Preds. PK did an amazing job last night. When Big Hal returns, PK should be even better.

Much going our direction, but Lady Puckluck is fickle.

One more! Go Preds!

Just what game were you watching? Aside from Leggy's pocket-picking of Cleary with 38 seconds to go, he was virtually non-existent.
Between his defensive lapses in coverage down low (Zetterberg, Datsyuk, Kronwall...?), blown face-offs, lazy checking (if at all), turnovers and sloppy passes, he did very little.
Legwand is the most frustrating player on the team. He shows-up when he wants to and seldom plays with a fire in his belly.
If he plays to his potential, then yes, he's a considerrable talent. But I for one am tired of his lack of passion and heart. Why else did Trotz relegate him to the 4th line!? I know Trotz pulled him back onto the 2nd, but a message was suppossedly sent.
I'm sure I'm not alone in this assessment.

You are not alone. He is so frustrating. He lays these blinds dumps to nobody with the puck half the time and the giveaways...pulleessee. His inconsistency is a minus in my view. I can't imagine what its like for the rest of the team wondering which Legwand is going to show up.

Me too. Sorry Kevin for the horrible things I said about you and throwing stuff at the TV.

I, on the other hand, have always loved you, recognized your unrealized potential...but then maybe its those awesome eyes...... Go Hawk (as in Mo).

IMO, Klein's play has steadily been on an upward trend since the latter part of last season. It slipped a bit early this season but has been even better since this years ASG. His play seems to really hinge on who he is partnered with.

I was looking at production. He scored twice, although only one counted, and kept the Wings off the board. He also didn't take any stupid penalties. He is inconsistent, but so is everyone else on the team. Let's face it, it's not like that was a stellar performance by our team. It was stellar by Rinne. Everyone else had their good moments and their gaffes. I feel comfortable giving him praise for upping his game after the last few that we've seen.

Tyson Nash is an idiot. He's always been an idiot. He'll always be an idiot.

Pretty sure he corrected himself on that after his first quick assessment. (But that doesn't mean you're not right.)

The Wings out shoot almost every team they play. That's their M.O. and has been for several years. They throw everything they have at the net and charge it looking for the rebounds. The thing is, with Pekka, the few rebounds he gives up are directed towards the corners or scooped up by the defense. These two teams play each other so much that they know what the other does and knows how to defend against it. What you can't defend against is bone head mistakes unless you have someone in the net that can erase them. When Howard is 15 feet away from the net as he was last night, there is no way to cover.

My biggest problem with last night's game was the officiating once again. The first goal was waved off and everybody knows it should have counted. When Borque scored I told my wife the Wings will be on the Power Play soon. 49 seconds later they call too many men on the ice while both teams were in the middle of a change. Klein scored and 50 seconds later... interference is called on AK46. It was so predictable and obvious what they were trying to do.

39 goals so far in Pens/Flyers series if I've counted correctly. 10 periods of play. Pretty sloppy imo.

Both teams have well paid goalies between the pipes! Probably not many BT type of players on the ice.

Edit: should have looked at the scoresheet first, 9 penalities so far. Checked to see if Tim Peel or Kelly Sutherland were working the game. 40 goals BTW!

Very.

However, I hope the Preds are paying attention to the letting-the-foot-off-the-gas syndrome going on with Philly tonight. Winning the 4th one is the hardest; gotta go harder, faster, better than any game yet...

Hopefully the boys watched all of the games last night. They will be ready and Hal Gill will be a boost!

You're Kidding Right? You must be a newbie to Preds hockey for sure. Gads!! FYI - before Weber was the Man, Timmonen was the Man (and still my favorite player)

What?! There were no Predators before Weber!!!

I hear all these rumors about someone named Fitzgerald, Boughner, Ronning, Moore, Lambert, Cote which are totally unfounded, and now you're all talking about something called a Timmonen?!

Get it together Preds fans!
