that's definitely a consideration for why the oilers should look to trading the pick. I love hall and the way he plays but maybe a more seguin type player could be beneficial aka galchenyuk or a dman like Murray.

My ideal move aside from drafting Yakupov which I'm more than ok with is for a dman like Gardiner, or bogosian or maybe subban (there are others but I feel these are more realistic than oel or pietrangelo or doughty). I'd also make sure to grab one of their firsts as well to then grab galchenyuk or faksa or Murray.

You have been reading and believing Cloutier too much. You really think the habs will trade their best defenceman, who logged 24mins/game and is 22 plus the 3rd overall, just to move up 2 spots. Sorry Daryl Sutter moved to LA

I didn't say the Habs would do it. I just don't think subban is as untouchable as pietrangelo or doughty. I was saying that's the type of price i would make a team pay to get a shot at a potential elite goal scorer. Don't lie, you know this kid would look good in your top 6. I watched a lot of habgames and you guys, similar to the oil, are a one line scoring team. There's a premium on the first overall pick whether you like it or not.

You think that's an appropriate price to pay for a goalie who has been in the bottom half of starting goalies in terms of sv% every year of his career but one?

wonder if Girgensons broken jaw will have him up or down in the draft.

I'd think up since he continued to play for awhile with it, shows he can take it and has heart.

Not the type of injury that effects draft status.

I wouldn't mind the Canucks drafting tom Wilson. A future kassian and Wilson line would be intense.

I had a weird dream last night. The Leafs traded their 5th for the Caps 11th & 16th, and drafted Reinhart & Wilson.

They both made the team out of training camp and went on to terrorize the NHL with crushing hits and timely goals becoming the real life version of the Bash Brothers (The Oakland A's version was about as "real" as the Mighty Ducks movie version). During the Leafs Stanley Cup parade they both hoisted me on their shoulders carrying me for the entire parade. Afterwards we enjoyed a GP8 Sport Water on the chartered flight to the after-party at the Playboy Mansion where circa 1992 Erika Eleniak awaited me in the grotto...

It was all so real, the only reason I knew it was a dream was because no one drinks GP8.

I had a dream last night that I had sex with Scarlett Johansson. In truth, I think my dream has a better shot of coming true, which is pretty awesome for me.

Niagara is doing to us what I pretty much expected them to do... but similar to Barrie series when I noted how ridiculously awesome Ekblad is, I have another Niagara player I have come to appreciate. Oleksiak. Well, by "appreciate" I should say I "realize" just how terrible he is. He is a turn style. Nothing more and nothing less. Thank god for him he is tall because outside of being tall, there is nothing to his game. For being so big, I don't think i've seen him hit a guy, actually, i don't think i've seen him even aggressively shove a guy. For what they gave up to get him, I figured maybe i just missed something with him, but after seeing 4 straight games of his in a playoff environment, i actually think that I have a lesser view of him than before.

I think Maati is making a case to get into the top 10 now. The guy is just killing it right now in the playoffs for the Knights.
