from TSN,

Daniel Sedin took part in the Vancouver Canucks’ full practice Wednesday after missing 12 games with an apparent concussion.

Sedin skated on the team’s top line with brother Henrik and David Booth. He also took shifts with the team’s first unit power play with Henrik, Ryan Kesler, Dan Hamhuis and Alex Edler….

After practice, Sedin said he will wait to see how he feels on Wednesday before deciding if he’ll play. He added he’ll focus on the power play and take his chances 5-on-5 because he is in as poor shape as he’s been in the past 5-6 years.

Also an interesting stat: Since 2010, Detroit’s past 10 playoff losses have been by one goal.

I swear to god i'm not trying to troll, but that comment literally made me laugh out loud. It was as close to perfect comedic timing as HB ever gets.

I swear I feel terrible and I hope you beat the Kings tomorrow just to alleviate some of my guilt for lol'ing on this thread.

DONT BAN ME MICAH.

Oh wait, you can't.

Haha didn't think you were trolling. Thoughts on the game tomorrow night? with and without daniel?

As far as the Delay of Game penalty, I also liked an idea I heard Don Cherry throw out sometime last year. The glass behind the net is 8 feet higher than the top of the boards. The glass along the sides of the rink is only required to be 5 feet (although I think it's generally a little higher in most rinks. Make the glass higher on the sides of the rink, and keep the penalty as is. Then, if the puck goes over the glass, it's either definitely intentional or a dumb enough play that the player should be punished for it.

I don't think the 8 foot glass would have saved edler last game...poor poor edler

I really don't see him doing much point wise.He hasn't played in 2 months .First two games will be needed to get to game speed. Also looking back over this series and the last against the Bruins the teams offense has vanished. 12 goals in 10 games even with Sedin Healthy will not win a series.

Please, someone out there guarantee me that this is AV's last season as a Canuck coach. Pack-up and jettison the other two as well.

When you are coaching the best team during the regular season into this sloppy playoff mess we see before us then a change needs to be made.

Gillis needs to know that he (frank)ed up at the trade deadline. I like Kassian and think that he'll be a great power forward but this trade deadline was not the time to make that deal. Kassian played 3:55 last game! How the hell is that going to make a team (or even the player) better? I'm positive that AV forced that trade to happen. I want that tool gone from behind our bench.

Gillis needs to address coaching defense and playoff scoring in the off season.

I don't see it that way any more than starting Halak in MTL was a guarantee he'd be the starter the following season. You start Schneider for reasons of simple math: he let in 1, Lu let in 3 and 4. Lu didn't look bad but Schneider looked better.
- AlexF

Thats not the way Bmac Taylor and Socowski looked at it .They said the most imprortant game of the year and you tell your franchise goalie we want to go with the Kid? Sorry .Everyone is entitled to their opinion ,but I think the day the pulled Lu after him playing so well told me all I needed to know.

First of all, it will be exactly 4 weeks since the Keith hit tomorrow, not 2 months. Elite players do not necessarily need any games to get back to game speed. Look at Crosby's debut performances this year. Yes, Crosby is a more talented player, but he was also coming off longer layoffs from more severe concussions than what Daniel had.

And since when has either Sedin ever needed any kind of "speed" to be effective?

I expect a lot of cycling with the twins but don't think they will get more than 1 point.

Well we all know the 0-3 comeback to win a series is a hail mary, but in this situation the Canucks are probably a better shot to do it than most teams that have been in this kind of hole. I mean they are the top seed and they are a scary team. It's not like they can't beat LA four straight, because they totally can.

I think it goes to show just how freaking tough the Cup can be to win. Van's been an utterly dominant, elite team for several years now and even a team like that can go out in the first round. I don't know if I'd blow up a team like that just yet, I mean maybe the third year going in with top seed is just what it's gonna take. That's just how it goes. It's gotta be the toughest playoff in sports now with how close the top and bottom seeds really are.

Anyway good luck Nucks I'd like to see a game seven at least so get it done. Cheers.

Tomorrow will be 4 weeks since his injury. Although Daniel said conditioning rise he feels the worst in 5-6 years his game is not dependent on explosive speed so I don't think that will be much of a concern. Having him on the ice will create a legit threat that the Kings will have to worry about. He may not score but his presence will take the pressure off of others on the ice and create more time and space. If he doesn't get an opportunity I would not be surprised if he did burry it.

I agree .I think it will be a moral support much like Manny last year but I don't think it will change the outcome.

I miss Torres. The guy can win a playoff series on his own as a third/4th liner! I wonder if he gets jumped and how many games he gets.

The contact made him leave his feet.

If Brown wasn't suspended, Torres won't.

Lu was "playing so well"? How low have we set the bar? Was he decent: sure. Was he great: no. You can't let in 7 goals in 2 games and claim a great performance. There was room for improvement and Schneider letting in 1 late goal = improvement. If Lu let in, say, 1 and 2 in the first two games and they sat him for Schneider I'm with you. Otherwise the selection seems pretty obvious. No controversy required here.

And with respect to the AM1040 crew, they each talk shop 4 hours a day, 5 days a week. I've always thought they trumped up more controversy than necessary but yes, that is my opinion.
