I'd love to be everywhere, but I haven't got that kind of time. Especially in the playoffs when the post counts get crazy. |

Hank coming back showed the most toughness and leadership ANY player has EVER shown??? It was tough sure, but he was just winded.
I hate the ducks, but what about Kariya after Stevens left him out cold on the ice coming back to win the game?? (saw that one live)
I'm sure there's better than even that...
Support your team sure, but easy with the accolades haha |

used to happen here too but I asked for a mod and they got one for us. makes it a little more fun in here and to my knowledge not too many people get banned unless they are over the line bigtime.
you want one in the oilers thread ask richard for one. I just asked who wanted the job and got three letters from people who wanted to do it and why. presented those options to the head guy and they picked one. |

The character of the Canucks will be shown in the next game. Will they come up lame duck or will they fight back. I am excited to see what happens.
On a side note, I think its pretty lame that the "Referee" has to come to this thread and immediately start throwing out threats of banning for things that happen in every other teams threads without any repercussions. Either be consistant in the other threads or allow what happens in them in this thread. Just my opinion.
Lastly Luongo should start he has got them to where they are and he deserves to play. He hasn't played bad in first two games he played in. - MrSmitty
Keep in mind that you're not seeing the posts he's deleting. He's in a sense speaking to the folks who's posts he's deleted and warning other users not to post certain things.
He's (and I back him up 100%) seen it many many times on this board and knows what kind of posts will set off certain b***h fests between fans.
Heck, I just had to do the same thing in the Penguins thread. |

The game Mike Ricci scored a hattrick after getting in a fight and smashing his head open on the ice is my personal favourite. He was white as a ghost on his 3rd goal. |

I'm more concerned about Daniel getting rocked again (if I was LA I would target him) and it costing him part of next season recovering. I am not sure what changes AV can make to the line up, but I am annoyed at the lack of minutes for our 3rd and 4th line. If your top 2 lines are not working, change it up. I feel the main reason we are down 3-0 is we are being outcoached, and would not be upset if they changed coaches in offseason. I feel some players are tuning him out, and I do not understand how some players get benched or thrown into the doghouse for one mistake, when other players make the same mistake and still get all of the ice time. If the PP is not working, maybe you need to try new things? Where is the big body in front of the net? I would even play Rome on the 4th line and tell him to go in and forecheck.
In regards to the no sisters comment
When the Sedins first came to Vancouver, many years ago, they were staying at a "hotel" where players stay until they find permanent residence. When they were at the front desk signing in they forgot to fill in the forms completely. After they left the counter person filled in the cards for them, putting in Hansel and Gretel for the staff amusement. He did not realize that they would be returning in a minute with the information required to fill out the rest of the forms. When Henrik took the forms back before the counter person could change it, he read over the form and looked up at the guy and says "I am not Hansel, and he is not Gretel." Luckily they did have a sense of humour and did not cost the counter man his job.
Ever since I heard this story they have always been Hansel and Gretel to me. |

no calling the Sedins by feminized versions of their names. I will be here handing out bans and warnings, very possibly in that order. - micah555

I consider it a form of trolling. It's pretty lowbrow.
EDIT: If you want to use it in the Flames thread, feel free. But coming into a Canucks thread with it is no good. |

If I was AV I would let Daniel skate in warmups to get his team pumped but would only think about playing him if there is a game 5.
It just seems too risky to put the guys future on the line at this point (unless he really is 100% which I doubt)
On the 2nd part of the blog regarding automatic penalties: I agree there needs to be some work on that rule because no one ever tries to clear the puck over the glass purposely since it became a delay of game penalty, but how to remove the penalty without guys doing it again just to get a whistle, have the refs start looking for intent? |

Ah yeah! See, totally knew there were much more impressive performances than just taking a solid hit, catching your breath, and then doing nothing to help your team. |

I think idea would be that if the team is in the defensive zone getting pressed and they clear it over the glass, call it a penalty. But if they have no one within 10 feet and they aren't being attacked, let it go.
Edler the other night wanted to make a pass, not clear the puck; but the ice was bad and it flew away. So instead of mounting a comeback, th CNaucks had to kill a penalty on a nothing play.
I'm not totally against the rule as is though. Having no interpretation at least makes it consistant (as consitant as it can be if the refs and linesman can see the puck go out clearly). |

Refs discretion is always a bad idea...
The league has been working with the Canadian Deaf-Blind Association and the American Foundation for the Blind to help those with visual impairment find jobs and feel more connected to the community.
I'm always in favor of helping those who are in need... but its getting ridiculous out there.

They could remove the penalty but if it happens it's a faceoff in the team's own zone and they can't change so basically like an icing. |

Sabrebuzz8, that's actually brilliant! I wish I had thought of that when I submitted my rant. That's a great alternative. You penalize the team doing it by not making them change but at least you don't end up penalizing the team too much with a penalty when it's done by accident. That's a great solution! After all, the situation IS pretty much always the same as an icing. A team is being pressed in its own zone and they're trying to clear away the danger. Whether they ice it or shoot it in the crowd, it's pretty much the same thing so make it the same in terms of the rules. |
