Funny, that's what the Rangers have done all season but no one wants to give them credit only take credit for their own team finishing 8th, BTW don't take anything away from Anderson, you don't realize that if it weren't for him this wouldn't be a series.
- HankdaTank

Alfie wasn't there last night and the Sens were the better team for most of the game. Ottawa will be very good in a few years, they are very well coached

No debating the Rangers are a good team, I just find Ottawa very underrated by many fans because many expected them to be in a lottery pick position this year. They have a bunch of great prospects on the way.

I would definitely give credit to the Rangers for their excellence and consistency throughout the year - in what I think is the toughest division in hockey right now, the Rangers maintained a great winning pace and have done it through balanced lines, usually solid defense and excellence in net. Torts has them motivated and playing a solid team game. Great team.

Who the f*** is talking about the rangers in here? And who ever said bad things about your team in this thread to begin with?

What the hell is the matter with you, that you're so insecure about your #1 seeded team that you feel the need to barge into a thread concerning a sens prospect and start spouting off about how nobody gives the rangers credit??

Just completely absurd, I don't even know what to make of it

The only thing about to bust is the ranger's cup hopes. This isn't 94 and there isn't a messier to clean up the garbage. Even if the rangers escape round 1, they'll get sent back to reality soon enough.

As for the Turris remark- 12 goals, 29 points in 49 games as a 21 year old with ur new team is far from a bust. He has a lot of work to do but the only busting Turris is gonna do is on top of Queen Lundvquist

So Turris >>>>>>> than anyone on the Oilers
- Reveen

No, my man - you're having trouble reading posts longer than a sentence again.

What I said was Turris will be a top-tier second line centerman, something that can't be said about anyone on the Oilers, which I believe is quite true despite the handful of top tier prospects they've gotten in the last 4-5 drafts.

RNH-Hall-Eberle are all clearly far ahead of Turris in terms of impact. But that's a first line, and RNH is a top line center.

Sam Gagner will never be a top-level 2LC, so it's a hole on your roster. One of many, if I may say so.

I think you are missing the point. The Rangers have a deep and solid roster, while the Sens are basically just a couple of great players with a bunch of guys filling out the roster that probably wouldn't make most other rosters in the NHL. That is why people are giving this team credit. The Rangers met expectations, while the Sens exceeded expectations. Both teams are due to receive credit for what they have done.

Anderson has been solid. No denying that, I don't think anyone around here ever has. But he is getting out played by Lundquist. That is what it comes down to.

Agreed, there wasn't any Ranger bashing going on.

But this is an article (if you want to call EK's writhing that) about the Ottawa series, so Ranger fans can have a say. They can actually tell you all about inserting a rookie into a playoff game, which they did last night with Chris Kreider. Which in all honesty, didn't do a whole lot. He will be a good player, just not NHL ready or at least NHL playoff ready. I suspect Sifversberg would follow a similar path. Anyone expecting either to step in a provide offense so early in their NHL careers is a little nuts.

Sam Gagner (drafted 6th OA 2007) - 366GP - 77G - 143A - 220PTS - 0.65PPG

Kyle Turris (drafted 3rd OA 2007) - 186GP - 31G - 44A - 75PTS - 0.40PPG

The math is totally on your side.........

They are a pretty deep team, Holmgren should get GM of the year for what he did during the offseason, Vorocek and basically Cotourier for Carter and Schenn and Simmonds for Richards, he won both of those and those 4 are gonna be players for years to come, as much as I hate the Flyers you can't deny that talent, absolutely love Vorocek.
