Whos fault is that? The coach? The leadership? They dug their own grave and now have to lie in it.

Didn't understand what they were trying to do Sunday.

- stveshdy

Instead of trying to go on the attack because Pittsburgh Penguins is next to my name how about you read the comment for what it was. Furthering the point that it doesn't matter if JVR or Meszaros come back because the Penguins are in shambles and will be missing what equates to a full line and replacing them with non impact players. The Flyers are already in complete control. Nobody is dense enough to not understand why the Penguin forwards wont be playing, no need to state the obvious like its lost on people.

They lost their composure. It's happened to every team at one time or another.

I want this thing ended tomorrow. Don't give them anything. Not one inch. They want to spear, head hunt, slash, cross-check--fine, let them. At the end of the day all that matters is the scoreboard.

Good for Lavy shooting down that question after last game, when asked "does help you understand the Penguins' mentality being down 0-3", Lavy pretty much ignored the question.

Would it be spiteful if Pittsburgh claimed Leighton? haha ... it would be funny, but I doubt it will happen.
- Cable2k

There's no other reason than spite for any team to claim him at this point. He's a UFA in July, so it really doesn't hurt the Flyers moving forward, there's no cap in the playoffs, and if Dave Isaac's report is correct, the Flyers would use Bacashihua before Leighton anyhow.

Obivously. Their going to be missing three players because they were too busy acting like idiots instead of playing hockey.

Trying to single out blame ion the Penguins end of things is a fruitless exercise as it pertains to this series presently. There is plenty to go around.

I dont disagree but blame will fall on the shoulders of someone within the organization.

Cant be happy with what transpired on Sunday.

There will be an effort to move Paul Martin and/or Michalek. Despres is ready to play in the NHL next year full time. Asham won't be back.

There will be no major changes, nor should there be, they would just be panic moves.

Guessing that they go with Tangradi, Vitale and McIntyre? Or Does a guy like Dustin Jeffrey play?

Defense will be first priority for the Pens in the offseason. Orpik and Letang is all they have at this current time. I didnt think their defense was that bad when you look at record and points but the Flyers are exposing them big time in this series.

You got it 2/3 right. MacIntyre isnt going to dress in the playoffs. He provides zero. Not really the message I think they want to send either. Jeffrey will play before him.

A vet will definitely be brought in methinks. If I'm Pens front office I've lost all confidence with my on ice leadership.

Niskanen and Engelland are fine. Martin and Michalek slotted for a top 4 role and playing like 6th and 7th defensemen is the problem. You can't overcome that kind of deficiency when you rely on people in that role (top 4 defense), and they no show.

I dont believe that at all. Sunday was awful and it is also one game. Their track record is a lot longer and a lot better than what Sunday's actions brought.

I know the Baby Pens are in the playoffs, but have they recalled anyone? I'm thinking Ben Street or even Ryan Craig. Not even sure why I suggested McIntyre. Pretty obvious that he's not going to play more than a few minutes, and with an already short bench...

Lets be honest, does that really matter at this point? The Penguins are going to be down 3 forwards for Sunday's antics and using players to replace them that arent difference makers at all. I guess Flyer fans will get to see their local product Tangradi in action.
- Gunner Staal

The pens have proven to win games without the benefit of star players. At least there is no shootout to aid them. I think the pens play their best game on wednesday. Will it be enough?

That one game just happened to be the biggest game of the season for them and the leadership failed in such a manner that I think it definitely gets addressed.

Doesn't help that Malkin, Crosby and Staal have been suspect in their own end as well. Their standing and watching like its a movie.

If I'm the Flyers, Shelley is in the lineup on Wednesday in place of Rinaldo.

You cant finish 1 point out of the conference lead two years in a row, missing the high caliber pieces they have, without any on ice leadership.

I have no predictions on how things will play out because I could have never predicted Sunday's gong show, even with the bad blood. But I will say that if it does indeed get to a game 6, the pressure shifts.

And if they come back and dominate on Wednesday in all facets of the game, is leadership then fixed? Because the most important game in the playoffs, is always the next one.

it especially funny guy Jaromir Jagr.

“He was sitting next to Ed Snider, I thought ‘he owns the team now?’” Jagr joked. “We said ‘He’s the new owner?’ and we all waved. Not many guys wanted to do it, but some guys did it. ‘Hi.’

“I actually saw him two days ago at the practice rink. He was there when we had a day off. I thought he looked good. Hopefully he can come back.”

I know I am leight,

That leadership also lifted a Stanley Cup just three years ago. One bad series or more specifically one bad game doesn't change that.
