Did you see Crosby's comments today when asked about embarrassed Pens fans? Dont worry, he hasn't used this time to compose himself in the slightest.
- hereticpride

I still a little worried i would say a 3 out of 10.

I am beginning to feel like there is only a fine for these guys. Why haven't they announced anything.

Just saw the Shaw punishment. Ridiculous. There should also be a ban on Smith for pretending he was in mortal agony.

This might be relevant to Neal and Asham, if Shanny is trying to correct the Weber mistake by overcompensating. I won't cry if that's the case, of course.

to be honest i wouldnt be completely surprised if Couts and Giroux embellished the affects of those cheapshots just a teenie tiny bit. not saying they did, just saying its possible

ok, but atleast don't profess your innocence
- flyerscup2011

Agreed. Neal saying it was accidental is BS. He clearly turned directly into Couturier and was looking at him the whole time. While also launching himself into the hit. There is nothing that points to it being accidental. For that, not only is he a cheap shot, but he's a? Something, the correct word escapes me.

Giroux, maybe. Not that I think he did. But not Couturier, he got laid out.

Don't know. I personally want Neal gone for the Series. And then what needs to happen is that the Pens players and leaders (not Crosby) should handle that internally. And get on Neal for putting himself first and not the team. And drastically hurting their chances for a comeback in the Series.

That's a broad stroke. A few players actions doesn't label an entire team or Organization.

just saying its possible bro

players have learned that the league pays much more attention to cheapshots when they appear to have an effect on a players health

even if its for only a moment or a shift

I dont think G embellished. He got hit in the back of the head and his helmet fell into his eyes. I think that is part of the reason he stumbled. It's not like he dropped to the ice and stayed there... He just stumbled. Letang was an embelishment.

If it were danny, I'd say yes. But it isn't G's style. He's usually the "don't let them see they've gotten to you" method of play.

The pens have to know what the deal is with the suspensions right? Just not public info yet?

If Giroux embellished the effect spontaneously with his drugged waltz, he should get an Oscar. I hope I never learn that was the case. However, if he really wanted to max the punishment, he should not have done those interviews and should have declared himself day-to-day.
