Anyway, no, I'm not trying to deflect, I'm simply trying to establish what makes a player "dirty".
I don't think Rinaldo is an angel, but I don't see him as dirty either. But maybe we have different definitions of the word.
And we both know that not all players get treated the same by the league (Weber being the absolute perfect example) so the repeat offender argument isn't the best because, given the exact same infraction, certain players will get a call from the league and others wont.

His hit on Couturier was quite dirty but not nsuspendable... we've seen tons of hits like this one before and player rarely get suspended. Maybe if he had targetted the head but it was a body check so won't be suspended.
His hit on Giroux was everything but dirty. Tried to hit him open ice, Giroux was static on the ice and had his head down. Neal tried to hit him to the body but Giroux spined away and got caught on the helmet...
I could see Asham being suspended but maximum 1 game like Carkner... Schenn hit on Michalek was borderline, Asham wanted him to answer back and he didn't.
