You notice I haven't said anything about you. Because I'm here to talk about hockey, not to attack other posters. You might take that tack yourself in future.

but anyway I don't think it even qualifies as an attack, you really feel insulted if I tell you that you're "bad"?

The Asham hit was dirty and I don't care to ever see him play another game in Pittsburgh. I don't understand what Neal was doing. He plays hard, but that was ridiculous when he left his feet. The attempted elbow to Giroux should have him sitting the rest of this series (1 game). The Adams penalty makes sense. He isn't what I would describe as a dirty player by any means. I think that any Chicago or Carolina fan could attest to that. Crosby actually put him in a situation where he had no other option.

On Crosby: He is not an angel. He is not dirty either. He simply plays an abrasive, grinding game. Usually players who play that style are more emotional. That said, he is the type of player that should have to fight his way out of his own scrums. He causes them...let him finish them. I have no problem with the way he plays, but anyone who calls him an angel is not watching the games. He is a hockey player and does what hockey players do...agitate.

Anyway, good luck to all you Flyers fans. Giroux has proven in this series that he is one of the top five players in the league. The Flyers deserve to win and, in my opinion, are the best team in the east. Hopefully they make it out of the next game alive.

I would have no problem with this, but I don't think Sid would go for it.

He was fine holding on to Giroux and pushing and pulling, but when G got a hand free and threw an uppercut, the linesman came in and tied G up and that's when Crosby started throwing punches. It was awfully sporting of him to keep throwing them while Giroux was lying facedown with the linesman on top of him.

The Sid The Kid moniker unfortunately still fits him. I really look forward to the day when he sheds it.

That kind of thing tends to escalate here. And it leads to the kind of flaming that the Code of Conduct is meant to prevent. It was a gentle reminder on my part.

Usually true but last game he was disgraceful. You know its bad when the Canadian media who are usually all over his jock are saying it too.

See, that's what I don't get. What do you mean he left his teammates to finish up every scrum? What the heck was that stuff with Giroux then? The funny part, there's another contingent of people ripping Crosby for getting into the scrums after he said he wasn't going to do that any more. So he starts scrums and then leaves them for his teammates... at the same time as he's jumping into the middle of scrums after saying he was going to stop.

I'm not saying your personal dislike for Crosby isn't justified. But come on, you have to recognize that there's a massive mob of morons frothing at the mouth to criticize Crosby for literally anything he does.

And Crosby was sold by who? Correct me if I'm wrong, but Crosby has never said he's Mr. perfect. It's the same idiocy as people who harp on Dion Phaneuf for being a terrible captain after being lauded as the next coming of Messier. Well that sure as poop ain't Phaneuf's fault -- he never said anything about being an amazing captain. So why are we faulting the players for the idiocy the media (or, in the case of Toronto, the management) creates?

I even remember Crosby getting ripped when he first came into the league for being too bland with the media. Now he's petulant. He doesn't have enough passion. He can't control his passion. And on, and on, and on..

This a thousand times over, great quote "massive mob of morons". Everything he does the same nutjobs come on and attack him. If he took a piss some hater would be there to criticize. It is truly amazing.
