That's actually funny...
I have a hard time understanding how that glove incident is such a big deal.
I realize it's Crosby...but to me...isn't complaining about THAT...really worse than what Crosby complains about...or at least EQUALLY as bad? - icedog97
no one is whining or complaining, just saying it proves everyone's preconceived notions about him...that he's a little female dog |

It probably makes him 13 which is abut the emotional age of Crosby when things aren't going his way. - TheRat14
I know right, and trolling another fanbase on the internet is super mature. Like retirement home level mature. |

No, you are all whining and complaining about him, or Lemieux, or the league, or Neal, or dinner, or being sleepy, or about whining and complaining. |

Do you disagree that Crosby acts like a petulant child when things don't go his way (see yesterday)? If so, how is what I said trolling?

On its own it would not have been a big deal, except that child-ish glove push was the spark that led to multiple penalties and Letang's fight to challenge Timmonen (who had grabbed Sid on the glove push) which led to Letang being kicked out. So its a big deal because emotions were high and the captain cranked them up further when he should have been urging restraint. |

if neal had been called on the hit on cooter he wouldnt have had a chance to take a run at giroux
the hard part to swallow with the dirty plays is the fact that the 3 players ran yesterday Schenn, Couturier, and Giroux all had concussion issues within the last 6 months
the only one who will be suspended will be asham so running 3 players with concussion issues will get 1 player off the ice for his 7 minutes a night for game 4 - jimlahey18
I was thinking about this yesterday, who doesn't have concussion issues... Just about everyone involved yesterday, Schenn, Courturier, Giroux, Letang, Crosby, Asham, all have recent concussion histories.
Sad state of the game today... |

Sure, but he is far from the only player/coach/fan to behave in that manner out of frustration. You are just as pleased as a pig in mud that it was Crosby and you get to show your extreme wit by posting pictures of neckbraces and calling him a petulant child.
If it was Ryan Jones of the Oilers doing the same thing, you and the media wouldn't care. But because it's your rival and player that along with Ovi was made into the face of the league he gets to be held to higher standard, and he dissapointed the Flyer fans. |

I got to say something Colin Campbell was a tool but it was never this bad was it?? I mean he suspended guys left and right just he was off the number games a lot of the times. Weber getting fined 2,500 open the door for guys to go ballistic. Hagelin got a 3 game suspension CArkner 1 game and Weber drills a guys head into the glass and gets a fine of $2,500 really?? |

As far as the chopping block goes, I think Shero needs to look at a lot of things. I look at Philys Offense and its deep through every line, Pens just dont have that, and I dont believe having your 3 best forwards not on the same line is not a good idea. Martin has to go and for someone to take his contract well have to move something big. I think Martin, Sullivan, , Asham, will be gone. Nisk stays if Martin can go. |

His actions were directly attributable to some of the uglier scenes yesterday. He gave Byrzgalov 3 chops that started everything behind the net. He shot/pushed Voracek's glove away which re-ignited the melee after it had simmered down and then he grabbed Hartsy like some wanna-be tough guy which caused Adams to have to jump in and fight for him.
Watching him reminds me of another (albeit non-historical) ruler/leader.
Sid should have auditioned.

For me the glove incident itself wasn't a big deal. The problem with the glove incident was that a scrum just ended and that just sparked it again. Sure, Timonen didn't do anything to diffuse the situation when he knocked Crosby's stick away immediately after that, but in that instance Crosby was the antagonizer. The Crosby-Giroux fight and the Letang-Timonen fight (and resulting ejections) were a direct result of that.
Crosby is an elite player who plays with an edge, and that's fine. Yesterday, he lost his composure out of frustration and hurt his team in doing so. |

- bylsma.... always defended the guy but seriously...out-coached big time this year and last year, we'll chalk up the montreal series to halak. when is it safe to say he won the cup riding michel terriens team?
- MAF, consistently not a good goaltender. had ONE good playoff run...when we lost to the wings. the cup year...his numbers were garbage, that was a team win there. in the cup final loses, what did he let in a combined....10-12 goals? take a look at his numbers every year. top 5 in wins....sub 20 in save percentage.
- the defense is just awful. 5 million.....FIVE for paul martin. paul martin. i have nightmares about him.
ugh. |

And it is the team that is losing with him now. Not just MAF.
Edit:
Seth Rorabaugh @emptynetters
Blaming Fleury solely for this mess is as wise as crediting him solely for the 2009 Cup win.

agreed... the team as a whole is horrible... but i think it highlights his short comings clearly. we've always overlooked his short comings in net because the team in front of him had been so solid defensively for a number of years. i think this series just magnifies it. |
