He got a match penalty. - Gunner Staal
Stupid move of frustration by Backstrom. I understand that he is frustrated that Boston is targeting him (and often his head), but he's got to keep it together there. Tough hilll to climb in Game 4 as it is -- without him, their chances decrease significantly. |

I think a ton of how he plays. It really is a KO blow. |

I think that when the Flyers have ended the suffering I might jump on the Blues ship. I like their team. - Ben37
I picked the Blues to make it to the finals in a pool at the beginning of the year. |

Yeah - in his absence, the Caps looked lost. As he has found his game in the past 5 games or so, the Caps suddenly look like a credible playoff team. |

I'd like to see St Louis make it through. |

Holtbys play is really making Vokoun expendable this summer. I am curious to see what Wash will do, go with the two young guys or don't you think what Holtby is doing is enough to put full faith in him during a entire season? |

I would guess they will probably go with Neuvirth/Holtby next season. I like Holtby better than Neuvrith, but not sure that either is going to carry a team to a Cup (not saying they can't win a Cup). |

Is it just me or does it feel like this series is already over? It literally feels like the season is over, I keep forgetting there is a game Wednesday. |

Until they lose the 4th game...
If they somehow miraculously get it to a game 6, it would be pretty great theater, and not in the Sunday mayhem kind of way. |

Why? Neal charged the guy and knocked him on his a$$! Big (frank)ing deal! Some people have blown this way out of proportion! Just remember, this team who some of you Pens fans are feeling so sorry for, wish and hope by their fans someone on the flyers would hurt crosby or malkin so bad that it ends their career and have for a long time.

Puck wasn't there. Neal blindsided him. Left his feet too. If that isn't suspension worthy then what is?? And when I see Crosby's career in jeopardy, I especially don't want to see cheap shots go unpunished. I don't feel sorry for the Flyers, I feel sorry for the NHL if it doesn't address this. So even if Flyers fans want Crosby and Malkin to be hurt, does that mean I should be okay if some 19 year old kid having a hell of a 3 games gets hurt due to a cheap hit? Neal is good enough to hit a guy clean. He should do that instead. Vitale's hit was clean. Nothing wrong with that. If Hartnell hit Crosby like that, would you feel he should get a stiff suspension? |

Saw this on Insider On Pittsburgh Sports:
I do find it funny though how everyone in Philly is blind to the fact that they have been praising the Flyers for acting the way we did yesterday for years and now that we turn into them it's a travesty. I'm embarrassed by the way we are playing and acting however we are doing nothing more than mirroring what the Flyers have been for 30 years.
So true!!! - stevens87
It doesn't matter what Flyers fans think. I think you are missing the point. Don't be a moral relativist. Don't be intellectually dishonest. I love the Pens, Crosby etc...but I need to criticize them when they are wrong. They can't be perfect, but they can't be cheap either. So if the Flyers do it, it's okay? I assume all these years you've been okay with the goon hockey of Philly then? If you think I've been easy on Philly I haven't. I used to come on here like a true yinzer jagoff and rip the Flyers for not being able to even skate.
Here is an idea. Give reasons why Neal shouldn't be suspended instead of telling me how bad the Flyers have been. Matt Cooke was a jagoff all last year and I'm thinking that missing the playoffs finally knocked some sense into him. |
