Well, that's something.
Elliotte Friedman @FriedgeHNIC
Daniel Sedin cleared for contact, btw, but I have no idea if he'll play Wednesday. |

After all of Burrows crap in the past you think he would have matured but in game 1 of this series there he is taunting Richards and Carter by pretending to chop up lines of coke and snorting rails with his stick. Game 1 and they are on that crap already.
This team needs less players of this level of maturity. It's too much having Kes, Burrows and Lappy at once. The Canucks lose games to this stuff one way or another every year in the playoffs. If it isnt the calls and hate from the refs...it's motivating the other team. You want to go on and on about coke rumours out on the ice...you imagine the other team is going to back them... there's a place for the trash talk but it seems like this team takes it too far. Bieksa and Kesler in past years have skated by the oppositions bench doing the sweep and we end up eliminated... they act like inexperienced punks out there. |

I agree, but some of this blame must fall on the coach. Watching the Blues game for example, do you think Hitchcock would put up with any of that stuff? Doubtful. If the coach gets on your back about it, it stops happening. |

How does it feel to have your star players not know the difference between reg season and playoffs? That's gotta feel good. - Sheppy99
Jeez, you guys really listen to Don Cherry? Did you even see the interview or are you just taking little cuts from it? |

The attention level is not too high around HB. Soundbites are more than enough to get the grenades airborne. |

Woah, woah, woah. Did you just use "play" and "Kassian" in the same sentence? You're assuming too much from coach AV. |

If AV wanted to stop them from doing those antics he would bench Lappy for Game 4. His dumb penalties are infuriating. |

Players I'd like to see moved should we lose to LA. Inject some youth into the line-up for the new coach. No more of the ole boys club! Players like Kassian, Jensen, Schroeder & Sauve etc need to know that they've got a shot at making the club. Look how well Philly is doing with Giroux-Schenn-Voracek-Couturier-Simmonds and Read. All of them are 23 or younger with the exception being Read who is a rookie at 25 yrs of age.

That was an experiment that I wanted to see when he first came across but, alas, he quickly got relegated to the 4th line. I doubt it but you never know with AV. |

I agree with all of the, except Burrows. He's an absolute steal at $2 million. Get a new coach who tells him to cut out the diving sh!t and he'll be good to go. |

I 100% agree with you and been saying it for years. Same with Bieksa with some of the untimely things he says to the media in the playoffs...these guys pretty much only have had AV as a coach in their career. Their attitudes absolutely stink....like AV.

I'd keep Burrows, maybe try to re-sing Pahlsson if the price is right. The rest I'd be ok with moving if there's a trade to be made. Note that I'm not advocating simply dumping any of these guys since they'll all fetch a return (varying degrees). |

Interesting. I've found those guys to be pretty cool actually. Confusing that you'd pick the Sabres as a 2nd favorite (or 1st favorite) team though. I'm guessing it goes way back? |

You're right. He's pretty consistant, can play top line or shut down. PK on and on for 2 mil. You don't let him go. The problem is we have too much of the negative area of his game on our team.
I'd love to see a offensive centre for our second line. As good as Kesler is,,, it`s high risk counting on him to be there 5-5 during the regular season and he`s only had one offensively successful playoff series in his entire career to boot. I honestly thought we had drafted the future 2nd line C for this team. Now it`s all on the undersized Schroeder...and if AV is still here...forget it.`AV will have Gillis jumping through hoops to get rid of him.
