The hit was totally legal, quit being so butthurt. As for trying to sign Schneider for $2.5 million per season, are you joking!? He has proven that he is better than Luongo, and that he is worthy of a starting job. He will not accept that. Honestly I think the best move for the Canucks would be to trade Luongo to an eastern conference team (possibly somebody like Tampa Bay) that needs a goalie, and roll with Schneider. I am sure you could sign him for less than Luongo, and he has played far better. Luongo would still fetch a nice price in a trade, and the nucks could get back some much needed secondary scoring as a part of the package. Possibly a guy like Teddy Purcell? Just a suggestion. |

Will I watch game four......sure.
Do I care who wins......nope.
Hey Ian, ur wrong about one thing, AV does coach the players, how else could they be so good at diving?
We don't need a riot, we need every fan walking out of the building on wensday to take off their jerseys, round them up in a big pile, follow by a classic BC bonfire.
Management needs to get the message. - Whiskey-Tango
Oh you're wrong. We need a riot, just make sure it's the block that AV's house is on. |

Why is the first thing the trolls say is, "The hit was clean so stop whining!"
Who is whining? The hit was clean, move along. |

And what do Quick and Howard make?
2.5 for 2 years would do it. He'll be an UFA after and will cash in big. He's an RFA right now. You really think any Arbitrator will give him more then Howard or Quick if a deal can't be reached? |

I agree. Every time I watch a Nucks game he never shows any emotion and is just chewing on that gum like to mentioned. You need a coach who knows how to coach. Not just stand behind the bench in a suit. Hope it turns out to be a good series. Not sure though how Brown and Quick are playing |

Wow just watched the Wolves highlights. Jensen cut into the slot and ripped a back hander from the circles. This guy is going to be a player. 6'3 that can skate and stick handle the way he does? A lot to handle... |

oh how things have changed. last year at this time you were slobbering all over this guy |
|
|
|
PREDICTION: AV will end up in Montreal after this season.
Then everyone gets what they want.
REALITY: The Canucks this year just don't want it enough. LA is riding a hot goalie.
The Nucks should at least save some face and win the next game, so they don't hit the record books as the only President's trophy winning team to be swept in the playoffs. |

AV is a good systems coach but he's definitely not a motivator. The majority of the team had him in the AHL. I wonder if they've tuned him out. Kesler has had him since he was what 20??? |

My point was he should have had his captains back instead of blaming him.
I didn't hear Julian come out last year and say Horton has to keep him head up and not watch his pass.
Maybe it's Daniel's fault too. He should know blindside elbows can come at anytime. - IanEsplen
Still whining about that? If Daniel doesn't deliver a high hit himself, there is no blindside elbow. |

I think the players are still hungover from last year. It looked like they hit a wall 3/4 through the season. They kept winning these overtime games that was masking the fact they were a totally different team. They may have won the presidents trophy but they sure didnt deserve it. |

That hit was clean, albeit a bit late, but in no way was it the reason the canucks lost that game. Vancouver ran into a very hot goalie, as well as a more determined team. No one player or coach is to blame. |
|
|
|
Funny, I don't think I've heard one preson say it was illegal on here. I'm more pissed that the coach didn't go to bat for his captain. Instead he blamed him.
You just don't do that. As a coach, you need to have a players back. AV doesn't - IanEsplen
So instead with your team down 3-0 you want the coach to call out saying you are going to put a bounty out on Brown? Cuz that is pretty much what you intimated in your blog.
Gee I wonder how the penalty situation would go in the next game, any questionable hit by the Canucks would be called and you put your team in an even worse position.
Actually now that I think about it I would have loved AV to do what you asked cuz that would give the Kings a nice advantage in game 4.. |

From the Wolves fans I've been talking to, he's been one of the best players on the ice. The Canucks could use him that's for sure. |

Too many useless players getting paid too much.
The Sedins will always get us to the playoffs but then turn into fourth liners.
Anybody see Booth last night? I didn't.
Raymond has got to go, Edler is playing himself off the team.
We need to pull a Philly this offseason.
I don't want to watch this same team for 82 games again.
Only guy I have faith in has been sitting on the bench the last 3 games. |

Hit was a bit cheap in my opinion in that Hank had his head turned behind him. Not sure how the Rome hit received a 4 game ban as it was similar. Thought it was a clear case of the "no respect" issue that everyone's been talking about. Up to the Canucks to respond to it. They need Carkner.

Brown's hit was clean. No doubt about that. Still... would have liked to see Bieksa actually drop the gloves and fill him in a bit.
Also, Hank showed a lot of heart last night. Gets his bell rung and comes back to play a hell of a game. |
