Totally...that's why I'm here and in JJ's blog.
Although JJ's blog is a lot cleaner than here....but then again they're playing the Coyotes, wait until it's LA or Vancouver (if they can come back). - Juice
I wish the Canucks could come back if for no other reason than to play the Hawks again. JJ's blog can be so much fun. |

Dude, don't worry about this year...Detroit got swept by the Ducks way back when. Sometimes the best teams need to learn a lesson or two. This WILL make the Canucks stronger and could hpefully get Kesler focusing on the fact that he's a talented son of a b***h and he'll focus on his game a little more in the future. - Juice
So how does Gillis handle Luongo... Which one does he do first?
1. Go to Luongo and ask him if he's willing to waive his no-trade clause.
2. Go to Schneider and tell him he's hoping to trade Luongo, and ask Corey if he'd be willing to sign long term if that's the case. |

Did I stutter?
I know you're not beig a complete ass about it, but do you really think Vancouver fans are going to react positivly to this?
Keep in mind, Micah is not around, but he will be eventually and his tolerence for banning is MUCH shorter than mine...and by MUCH I mean he will probably ban you. - Juice
Good call. He'll be back in Round 2 sometime. |

Anybody get hurt and miss games in those plays?
Nope. - Mattjd123
By that definition, if Hank doesn't miss a game, that would automatically make Brown's hit "clean"? Is that a joke? |

No one said it was a dirty hit ? |

I wish the Juice on the Canucks showed as much toughness as you do.
I mean, his tackle job on Brown did so much. - Scooby_Doo
We all wanted Brown to get pummeled in his fish lips & ear visors, but Bieksa did the right thing by not getting himself tossed ala Carkner... Then he hit Brown a little later with a nice hipcheck. Down 2-0 in the series in a 0-0 game, there's only so much one of our top 4 d-men can do at the time. |

This for sure.... he needs to stop trying to be a pesky type of player aka a rat and learn how to be a top 5 centerman like he could be.( Last year round two holy cr@p) Its called leadership and character and right now hes lacking it between the ears. |

The only thing that will make this season worth anything, will be firing the entire coaching staff and trading Luongo.
I have never seen a team get outcoached this badly before. Sutter is making AV his b!tch. |

I'll agree to disagree on the Rome comparison and such. Even though he was turned the actual hit was to his chest.
BUT your overall point is clearer to me now. I see what your saying. - mvp0207
Ya, it's a bit different than the Rome hit. Still don't think the Rome hit deserved 4 games, but what can ya do.
I'm glad there was no penalty on the Brown hit. Like I said, it was a clean hit. I do think it's that "respect" factor that people like to talk about these days. Coming from half way down the ice to hit a guy who has his head turned the other way is obviously going to result in him getting hurt. It may have happened, but I don't recall guys like Sakic or Yzerman getting taken out like this. I agree that not every clean hit needs to result in a fight, but when it's your captain getting hit in a vulnerable position I think someone on the team needs to step in. |

Luongo can already see the writing on the wall.
I think he says to Luongo "You know we have to move one of you or Schneider, we've got Toronto, Tampa, Columbus and Chicago who are willing to talk trading for you...which of those are "no's" for you?"
I think he tells both goalies they're going to explore all options and do what's best for the team and in the end Luongo will get traded. |

He's got to pick up on that...Vancouver will trade his butt before they let him do this over and over again in the playoffs. |

Thanks man.
I said a couple years back, maybe the Canucks and Flames could combine to make one super team: The FLUCKS. It's nice to move there at a time when the Flames are so awful. How hard is it getting tickets to Flames games? - hankthetank
at least we have a team...lol.....Go Jets!!! |

Not to mention, you have to be smart in general. The game was still 0-0 at the time and taking any extra penalties on the play could have resulted in a 2 goal lead after the fact. The Nucks aren't scoring enough right now, not a secret, so putting yourself behind based on retaliating isn't what the team needs to do right now. There is a time to do it and a time not to. That wasn't it. |

If Luongo doesn't start game 4, then he can't be back. If he was a man, he would read the writing on the wall, and mutually agree that he needs a fresh start. |
