Some guys seem to be keeping their heads up because someone else is letting them know what is around them. If you've played in a level high enough and where hitting is part of the game, you should have a coach that requires you to be always talking out there. Sometimes guys get hit, it happens, but in this case, there was plenty of time to warn him. He got rocked, for sure, but it was clear he had no idea what was waiting when he turned aorund. All I'm saying is someone needed to let him know.

I just hope they actually at least listen to offers for Kipper and Iggy. I think JBO will be traded for sure.

Unless it is a ridiculous deal, I'm not sure I'd trade Kipper.
Having a good goalie during a re-build is great for the young guys confidence. Kipper could bail them out when they make their rookie mistakes.
It's one of the biggest problems I find with the Leafs getting any kind of momentum or confidence-they haven't had a great goalie in over half a decade.

...well, that and the leafs suck.

Well, it sounds like you are trying to justify one riot while condemning another. I would guess that both were started by individuals that had a specific agenda, other than the original purpose of the gathering. To me, the different nature of the events is irrelevant.

I’m actually surprised as to how much focus is being placed on hits or hitting, and none on the lack of goals being scored. Hits don’t equal goals, goals equal goals, and at the risk of sounding profound you need to score more goals than the other team to win games.

If the Flyers have proven anything it’s that you can even get away with suspect defense and shoddy goaltending as long as keep your scoring up (which by the way is the way hockey should be played as that series is one of the best I’ve seen in years). Last night I swear all 41 Canuck shots were from the perimeter. If you have a quality goalie with good rebound control they will stop those all week. I’d like to say it’s a simple case of getting into the slot and putting a few shots in from there, but we’ve gone 11 playoff games in a row with scoring more than 2 goals so I wonder.

If they concern themselves less with hitting or embellishing or chirping after the whistle and more with putting the @#$%ing puck in the net we might be on to something. Schneider’s doing his part, it’s time for the forwards to do theirs with more offense. Everything else is a sideshow.

As always you make a strong point. Unfortunately I didn't come to make too much sense today. I am thoroughly enjoying whats happening to Vancouver right now. And why not? They have been nothing but sore losers for an entire year and trolling every Bruins post in every form of media. Meanwhile their team should just be focused on themselves getting back to the STC. Instead they shuffle out against LA acting entitled and like the series is already in the bag. I hope LA sweeps them, not a more deserving crowd.

As always you make a strong point. Unfortunately I didn't come to make too much sense today. I am thoroughly enjoying whats happening to Vancouver right now. And why not? They have been nothing but sore losers for an entire year and trolling every Bruins post in every form of media. Meanwhile their team should just be focused on themselves getting back to the STC. I don't buy the "they were acting entitled." There's no question they are a different team than last year. The 8-1 run at the end of the season in no way reflected how they were playing. It's the oddest President's Trophy win of all time as most in Vancouver would tell you they had a very average looking year. They were inconsistent at best.

Roger that, it's easy to get a little fired up right now.

The GM doesn't deserve it and a few players do. The coach definitely does. The team has been playing like poop the last three months. How does the coach play Ryan Kesler, a guy with hip problems coming of off season surgery, 24 minutes a night down the stretch heading into the playoffs? He should have been resting.

Completely agree they didnt have the same spark or wow factor like they did last year. Last year they just seemed dominant all the time.
