If there is a team to fear coming back from being down 3-0, I'd say the Canucks are it. As Ian said, you win Gm4 and take care of business at home, suddenly the pressure shifts to LA.
Interesting points made in the blog about certain guys minutes per game, not having each others backs, etc. Those are a similar theme to what us hawk fans seem to repeat a lot about the hawks too. Seems to be a common theme for teams that rely on puck possession, speed, etc. And I get it - for once it would be nice to finish checks hard on opposing teams players even if that isn't the DNA of a team.
Anyway, I'm not going to take cheap shots at the nucks fans. Your team's down 3-0. It sucks for sure. But if there was ever a team that was capable, it is Van.

No I think it's from his "Could of had a sick draft pick but (frank)ed it up" chair. |

If Brian Burke was the GM, you know that's what he'd say. |

that is the one i am laughing from actually... the one where we stole a great trade from the team that had all of the hype surrounding their return to the playoffs and now they have the gritty guy they needed.
The same chair I sit in as a team that almost was the first to ever come back from 10 pts down on V-day to just miss out on the playoffs ONLY because Myers and Ehrhoff both got hurt. If they would have been healthy we would have made it and Buffalo would have been scary with how good Miller was playing.
Any other questions? |

I looked it up and it says, while the player can ask for arbitration every year, a team can do it only once, if a player has played in the league for 4 years.
Schneider has, although in 09-10 he played only 2 games...
I do agree that arbitrator will look at Howard contract. Howard signed 2y deal (his salary was not determined by an arbitrator).
But, Quick's contract was signed in Oct 2009 and was his 1st after Entry Level Contract. Schneider had one contract after ELC... Comparison is not the same to Quick... - Nerko77
so if it were up to you what would you give him as fair? |

Man, that was some crappy ice by the third period. Like playing with a tennis ball.
*Note to other team fans, not an excuse for the Canucks; both teams had to play on it. Just a pretty low standard for the NHL to have for a playoff game and ripoff for all the fans that paid big money to go watch it.

one other thought. I really liked the Hodgson trade when it happened because I thought he could be an x-factor against the hawks and in the playoffs. The 3rd line seemed more dangerous with him as an option on it. But now, I think Van's 3rd line isn't as worrisome in terms of producing goals. |

Maybe if they were showing signs that they were going to turn their game around but they just look done. Not sure if they're tired or miss Daniel or are just giving up but things aren't looking good. At least I still have my Thrash- DAMN! |

You can't argue that Burrows and Kesler need to man up??? Fighting Kopitar? Seriously? - whipper334
True enough. But is not like they are the only team in the league that does this stuff. Just look at some of the players on LA team they pull the same poope. I just get tired of hearing how we are whiners and divers. When it happens all the time across the league. |

We would have only been 4 or 5.. and at that point... there are no "sick" draft picks.. they are just guys that need time and work.
This is one of the most shallow draft classes in recent history. There are NO talents that are deemed to make it to the NHL and be a huge success instantly like a Malkin, Ovechkin, Crosby, or Stamkos. |

If it makes you feel better about the Canucks, then keep searching for King dives.
What you cannot deny is that it is generally known that almost every player on the Canucks dives. It is disgusting. |

I do always enjoy (as I've used this example before) seeing homeless guys (bad teams) make fun of other teams faltering in the playoffs.
Homeless guy: "Hey buddy!!! Yeah, you there with the Canucks jersey...nice house buddy, come in mens?"
And then goes back into his cardboard box house and pulls his shopping cart infront to "close the door". |

Doughty topped the list of the biggest divers in the NHL last season.
Every team dives, the Canucks and Kings more so than others. I'm sure you are capable of coming up with something else. C'mon, you can do it! |
