In these playoffs, Brendan Shahanan has already established a precedence that star players -- and Neal most certainly qualifies as a star, as he showed with his two tremendous goals yesterday -- will not get suspended if an act of reckless/ deliberate intent to injure does not put the victim out of the game.

pretty dangerous precedent to set

With two hearings, I think it means Neal gets a game. Don't usually have hearings for a fine

He's probably got a ton of pressure on him. Blowing the Weber suspension. The Pens were an embarrassment to the sport yesterday. If he doesn't see that as a former player and Captain he's not going to have a job very long.

here's the thing, that game was nationally televised and got good ratings. they can't hide behind public ignorance and with neal's suspension record, the league's hands are tied, he has to sit game 4, atleast

The keys to Wednesday will be finishing this series on a positive note. The Flyers need to stay disciplined and not instigate or target any players.
Take the body and take the body hard.
Refrain from dumb penalties.
Bryz has to be rock solid with no bad goals allowed.
Let Lavi bring up what Crosby said. That kind of stuff should be left to the talking heads, fans, and in the locker room. It doesn't belong on the jumbotron.
A solid thumping is the best way to settle the score on Wednesday.
Target Neal next year.

I hate that we have to wait until Wednesday for game 4. I am ready to watch it tonight.

I am wondering if Lemiuex adresses the team and tells them to knock off the dirty hits and head hunting or players will be gone.

I'm guessing a game for hitting Couts and max fine for Giroux. I'd like to see more but two hearing scheduled already being a repeat offender basically ensures a suspension.

i want 2 games for running coots, he can get away with a fine on giroux, but he should thank roo for getting out of the way. had g not seen him that would have been much worse and a much longer suspension. and fortunately for neal, the league doesn't suspend on intent

so he calls in regarding the charge on cooter, gets nothing, hangs up, calls back, and then gets suspended for elbowing giroux in the head?
