I'm not saying he will. But that's the max on each, because he's not an in-person hearing. However, I think they plan suspension(s) or they wouldn't have gone two hearings.
- bodiva88

Right, the most games a player can be suspended for without having an in person hearing is four.

The NHL knows if Neal is on the ice tomorrow the potential for something ugly to happen is a distinct possibility. I think he gets two games.

I think he played well in games one and two, yesterday he allowed a few soft ones. He will need to be better.
- Jsaquella

Until the Flyers lose a game Bryz isn't a major concern. He has done well and made big saves in each game to either keep the Flyers in the game or to lock the game down.

Yeah, he has allowed a couple of questionable goal but none that have haunted the team.

Shea Weber grabbed Henrik Zetterberg and slammed his (frank)ing head into the (frank)ing glass. He was fined $2500.
- Jsaquella

Bogus ruling. Is Weber a repeat offender? I'm not sure, Shanahan in every one of his suspension videos makes note of that, and seems to weigh it heavily.

Man the Media is just glossing over Crosby. No-one seems to be having an issue with him basically starting all the scrums. I would have thought Roenick or Jonesy would have said... well that was just classless, or when I played I would have.... Nupe. I dont care if they dont have a problem with what he said, after all I hope Giroux hates them... But his actions on the ice just got glossed over.

Same old media. Same old NHL. How about we promote the game, not an individual player.... We dont need a "next one". We need more series like game 1 and 2.

- RooNosHockey

In 2000-something, the old cartoonist of The Hockey News (whose name eludes me at present) produced a picture of the NHL's shield being pinned on Mario's back to which he painfully exclaims, "My back!" The NHL has been pinning itself on one player for far too long. There are hundreds of NHLers; dozens of regulars who are worthy of being "profiled" enough for kids to like, read about on the backs of their trading cards or in their Game Day Program inserts, etc.

They do not need to market ONE player, especially one that has been so used to having everything given to him that removal of said favor has unravelled him. The league's best player has become the league's petulant stripling who is long overdue for a timeout.

And finally, for the hundredth time since the league began marketing this "do as I say, not as I do" hypocrite and the hypocritical owner that signs his checks, hockey fans do NOT need to be told who is a good player.

How do you work that out? What have the Flyers done in comparison?
- wolfhounds

It's not about that. The League should never single one team out. Many have complained when Campbell came out and apologized to the Pens for the blown call, and why not the Flyers. That works both ways and is a 2 way street. You can't call for it in one situation and then ask the League to single out the Pens, in another. Even if they were clearly the instigators. The Flyers were involved in what happened.

Try a five minute google search. There's been a LOT of media critical about Crosby and the Pens in the aftermath of the game yesterday

That would be nice. It would be amazing that the favorites to win the Stanley Cup get eliminated after four games.

Vancouver is most certainly done in 4 games. Total front runners that franchise, very few have any guts on that team.

Quick is an absolute monster.

Let me break off some high school level Spanish, Tu es el monstruo Senor Quick.

I don't want the team getting caught up in all of this.

Pittsburgh has won road games before, then it's back to Pitt.

Before you know it, it's 3 games to 2 and the pressure shifts somewhat.

If they have to get physical retribution, it can wait.

I want the book tossed and Neal and Asham, but what adams did is what he is supposed to do imo. I would have preferred a 1 game ban and let that be that. You cant punish players for backing their leader
- flyers4487

Adams only got 1 game, not 4 games.

I didnt think they were that good last year either but they went to the finals. Something about Vancouver they just dont impress me much when I watch them play.

Quick is the guy we wanted during the offseason in a trade if possible. Man he is a monster.

I wonder for poops and giggles if Holmgren asked the Kings for Quick in the Richards trade.

It's in the CBA that being a repeat offender has to be taken into consideration.

Yeah. I don't know if Weber has a prior history of discipline. I don't know how he wasn't suspended. Made zero sense to me.

Doubtful because they pretty much already had the deal done with Bryzgalov. They just couldnt announce it.

He's a great player, and has a bit of a nasty streak, I don't know why he did that to Zetterberg, it was really stupid and dirty.
