I wish he was the league disciplanarian. He's certainly more level headed than ay former player would be.

the problem is that it's one guy making the ultimate decisions. should be more of a brain trust.

True. Well he's definitely a name that should be included regardless.

NEW YORK -- The NHL fined the Ottawa Senators $10,000 and forward Zenon Konopka $2,500 for Konopka's conduct prior to Game 2 of the first-round playoff series against the New York Rangers.

Konopka was fined for his verbal abuse directed at a New York Rangers player conducting a live television interview nearby during pregame warm-ups.

It is a brain trust. The league's GMs and owners have huge influence in the overall disciplining of the league's players.

I said this earlier.. That charging call was made in retrospect

Sorry, missed that...

And that's just friggin nuts. For all intents and purposes, Neal got away with trying to take out 2 of our players. What a joke.

Punishment will result in 2 separate fines to James Neal. $1250 for each incident. The disciplinary office will issue an apology to the Penguins and James Neal due to the inconvenience of having 2 separate hearings and an explanation of why these 2 events could not be consolidated.

Same. Can't complain that we didn't tho. Still, I'd love to see the dude in against the Pens when they play like have been of late.

Yeah, the NHL is cruel. How is Neal going to pay for his golf lessons with those hefty fines? And let's not even talk about the meals he is going to have to skip...

Adams will be suspended 1 game and Bylsma 10,000. Hopefully Asham and Neal get theirs and we can this series over with

WOW 4 games for adams....im no Pens fan, but all he did was jump to the defense if his retarted leader.... I would have wanted one of our guys to protect roo like that.

If he gets 4 games for something that IMO was just following the code, how many will neal and Asham get?

Maybe Shanny is trying to make up for the blown Weber call. (frank) it let em pay for it and they deserve it

We knew the Adams suspension. Asham should be getting no less then 5. With Neal as a "repeat offender" should get something.

Just win. You have the opportunity to take out the beast, kill it before it starts to walk again.

yup, Thinking Neal gets one game.. even though he should be out for the rest of the series with that cheap hit. Asham did some dirty poop, he should pay as well

I want the book tossed and Neal and Asham, but what adams did is what he is supposed to do imo. I would have preferred a 1 game ban and let that be that. You cant punish players for backing their leader

Focus on winning the game. No going after any type of revenge & only engage when defending yourself is required.
