The stuff he pulled was petty. Dale Hunter disgraced the game when he cross checked Pierre Turgeon after a goal. Mike Milbury disgraced the game when he beat a fan with a shoe in the stands of MSG.

Crosby's antics were childish. Crosby's antics had zero to do with Asham running Schenn and nothing to do with Neal's hits on Couturier and Giroux. Couturier had an uncalled interference on Neal in the first period that had more to do with that than Crosby

I was watching the game on and off due to some various issues. But based on what I saw, Malkin's nonsense was minor compared to Asham and Neal.

In either case, I think it would be a stretch to suggest Malkin prefers yesterdays game to an Olympic style hockey. Actually, its outlandish.

that's how some see it. i look at it from the stand point of a casual observer. they don't know who did it, they just know it was a hockey player and it plays into the whole i went to a boxing match and a hockey game broke out rhetoric.

This is the bottom line, gentlemen....I'll try to articulate it with some anecdotes....

I'm 18. I have a 14 year old brother. Very competitive. I remember when he was about 6, and I was in Elementary school, and it'd be a gross rainy day outside. So what do we do? We play board games, or playstation, of course!!

Well, we'd play for a long time. Different games and more than once. Naturally, I was beating him pretty consistently. After all, I was the big kid. Well, after a while he got mad...he'd throw a board piece....a card...then, after a few more games he started kicking the board. Throwing the controller. Turning of the playstation....for all of you parents out here, I'd imagine you see the exact same thing in your kids.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is the Penguins. We've beat them in every meaningful game this season, and the Penguins are now kicking the Chutes and Ladders board, frantically kicking and screaming, throwing the deck of cards, throwing the controller, and turning of the PS2.

This is what happens in a beer league, or in High School. They're acting not like spoiled brats (although this is definitely a factor), but the worst sore loser that I've ever seen in the history of any sport. The Flyers are not instigating anything. They're playing hockey. No cheapshots...nothing like that. In my opinion, it's all (or, at least- the vast majority) business on the Flyers' end.

The Penguins have hit a new low. And this low is different then a regular rivalry. This low is not like how Eagles fans hate the Cowboys. The Penguins arrived here through disgraceful, cowardly, immature, embarrassing, infuriating, gutless, and shameful behavior. If I were a Pens fan, I'd wear a paper bag. And it's not because of their record, obviously.

I'm just praying that no one gets seriously hurt on Wednesday.

Agreed, the most disgraceful thing Crosby did yesterday was hide behind the linesman. Nothing wrong with him stirring the pot a little bit for his team. We used to commend Richards for it. Crosby, just needed handle the response he would receive from the Flyers, better.

on a lighter note...xfinity live! was fun got there just after opening and checked out all the bars.

Broadstreet Bullies Pub was a solid place to grab a beer and watch a game. solid cheesesteak rolls as well.

The PBR place looked more like a girls night out type joint with the bull riding and all, but the servers dressed like cowgirls and all of them were easy on the eyes. i'll give it a pass for that

The Victory beer garden looked like a beer garden...with the st. paulies girl decked out stein wenches. too bad it's all victory beer...probably would be fun.

the outside areas were cool tho. definitely THE spot to go before and after all games. i'll be there maybe Wed

Crosby is an ambassador for the game. He is a role model to thousands of kids. He is the face of the sport. The C on his chest is supposed to signify leadership and a voice of reason in times of adversity. What he did yesterday was absolutely a disgrace to the game.

Did Crosby doing what he did lead to the direct result of Neal and Asham.. No. But he could have/ should have taken his team in another direction.

My main issue, I think, is media outlets saying that this stuff is very un-Crosby like behavior. No, it's not. He's always had an edge to his game, it's part of why he's been such a successful player over his career.

My other issue is, Crosby is playing the whole "They're doing it too" card. Sure, it's the playoffs. There's chippiness on both sides. But the Flyers haven't been taking runs. Neither Giroux or Hartnell threw a punch at Crosby's head. Nor did Brayden Schenn, who was engaged in a long verbal battle with Crosby, with some minor shoving.

By and large, the Flyers have been clean. Until yesterday, outside of some embellishment, so had the Pens.

Yes, thats what I meant. Richards used to motovate the team by big hits, mostly clean, during the game. Not kicking other players gloves around, pulling people's hair, and starting general mayheim(insert allstate guy) after the whistle.

A little off topic with all the penguins nonsense and upcoming suspensions on who gets what. But yesterday if it was a prelude to the penguins stupidity for those of you familiar with Philly yesterday I was on the Norristown line heading back to school, and of course the train was filled with all people heading to the flyers game, but there was 2 highly confused obviously not from around the area Penguins fans on the train with Crosby jersey's on.. Well anyway my girlfriend overheard them talking wondering if they where by the arena yet and instead of just asking somebody on the train or the conductor they got off at the Broad Street station thinking they where close because it was on Broad Street, and as soon as they stepped off the train everyone left on it just erupted in laughter. Granted there are still ways to get to the stadium from there but it clearly isn't the most economical, and I never seen anything near the Broad Street station worth getting off for =P.

Do you not see all the garbage that happens during the regular season that is a disgrace to the game? This is nothing.

Asham's hit on Schenn was in response to Schenn's big hit on Niskanen(Pretty sure it was Niskanen). Neal's hit on Couturier probably had more to do with Couturier's early hit on him and the later hit on Giroux was probably based in frustration.

Guys are responsible for their own actions. Blaming Crosby for the hits from Asham and Neal is like blaming Bobby Clarke for Dave Schultz pulling Dale Rolfe's hair in 1974.

Neal's two hearings will be phone. Asham's will be an in person hearing.

this will be a learning experience for him. he's never faced this kind of adversity. i'm kind of afraid that this series will have the same type of effect on the pens that the 0-3 comeback had on the bruins. there's a common link of sorts, both teams were built up to believe they had the series won. the b's going up 3-0 on us and every "hockey expert" picked the pens to beat us.
