Sens fans should be hoping hags doesn't get suspended. If he does insert kreider and dubi will be back. Sens lose any semblance of protection with carkner out. Series over....

Should be a good physical game 3. And props to Ottawa for sticking up for their stars like that. What Carkner did was completely illegal by the rules of the game, but by the code, it was golden. And that is why if he is not suspended, MacLean sticks him right back in (or if suspended, right after he is back).

The only pussies I saw were in Ranger jerseys.

You want to play the game you stand up when challenged and drop the gloves. Seems Ranger players only want to dance when they have a distinct advantage over players that are smaller.

I have no issue with what Carkner did except he shouldn't have let up. I'm sick of a game being ruined by cheap shot artists that hide behind the officials or turtle when they are taken to task for their CS antics.

These wimps that injure star players then hide like school girls should be out of the league. It's ruining the sport.

I'm not a Sens fan but I hope they hit the ice at home with physical punishment in mind. The Rangers want to play dirty then turn about is fair play. Perhaps a serious charge into Lundqvist or an elbow to the head of one of the non combative Rangers forwards would send the message.

You obviously haven't watched the rangers much. go youtube brandon prust's fights.

I don't care so much about the participants but about the perceived acceptance that when the playoffs roll around, skill takes a back seat to toughness and referees put the whistles away.

If you know you are only going to play a handful of games why wouldn't you take it to the limit. Would you rather be knocked out due to injury or suspension but help the team win, or be on a losing club and not be actively involved?

Until the league has consistency in refereeing, supplementary discipline and clear rules for the players, I expect this to behavior to continue season after season.

I love hockey, I love watching skilled players like Kronwall deliver brutal but clean hits, the Sedins spinning magic and the Marchants of the world causing havoc. I don't like most of the extra-curriculars some players have been involved in and seemingly okay'd by the league through inaction and inconsistency.

I loved what Carkner did. Shows all the "fighting is dead" queers that there is still an unwritten code in the NHL, and if you step out of line you're going to have to answer the bell.

Bravo to Carkner and all the other beauties who dropped the mitts last night

Yeah, nothing says "tough" like punching a 180 lb 21 year old in the face and then turtling when someone still smaller than you comes to try to take you on.
Toughness "Ranger style".

Whose fans exactly are doing all the whining??

On another note they could also throw John Scott into the mix.

Which way do you want it? Before the series started you guys were female dogging that we lead the league in fighting majors and we wouldn't intimidate you. But I guess those majors we got were all baby fights right?

Show me ONE POSTING from a sens fan female doging about that before the series started. Stating the fact that you lead in that category and that we will NOT be intimidated hardly seems like female doging.

I have no problem with the plays talked about here. Hagelin should get a suspension based on Alfie being injured on the hit (like it or not, Shanahan has said this matters).

What I actually hate is all of the other dirty stuff that's gone on, especially anything involving sticks. Last night's Rangers/Sens game was just endless dirty cross-checking.

Whats up is Shanahan may have set the bar a little high for what could be a suspension drawing offense when he let Weber off with a fine for his face smashing incident, Other players see that and think what the eff anything goes

I'm not criticizing you for it. I'm criticizing that tool for saying Ranger toughness is all about hit and run
