Don't worry.. I'll take this lying whore to court if I have to.

So... down 3-0.... does this team have a chance?

It's tough to say man, without Daniel in the line up your lines are different and that puts guy in positions they aren't used to, it's gonna be tough. Quick has been unreal pretty much all year and right now scoring is your problem not the goal tending. I don't think they have enough without Daniel there but anything is possible. The same thing is happening to Boston if it makes you feel any better, but we won game 1.

Much ado about nothing.

Is respect dead? Jesus Christ get a hold of yourself. It's the playoffs and nobody has crossed any lines. Holy sh!t a few late punches and we start wringing our hands?

Yeah, no kidding... I would expect this level of outcry from a Marty McSorley/Alexander Perezhogin incident, not from a few late body blows (from Carkner) or an accidental high elbow (from Hagelin)

Both players got suspended (Hagelin for one game too many) so everyone should just shut the (frank) up, and move the (frank) on.

I mean FFS, it's like we've never seen a playoff game before. Get a grip, borderline stuff happens all the goddamn time

Yeah right! Every single series is like a defensive chess match, I WANT GOALS and this series delivers
- FinAddict

This would be fine if all the goals were being scored as a result of the sheer offensive talent of the players in question, but that is not the case in the battle of PA. It's simply a case of sh*t goaltending, and as an Islanders fan, I've seen enough of that over the last ten years to last me several lifetimes. It makes hockey completely unwatchable, in my opinion.

i haven't paid much attention to other series, but what i do know is: the penguins are ufc on ice. engelland (whose actually behaved himself so far this series), asham, neal and vitale should be on "the ultimate figher" crosby and bile-sma should be those "agents" from wwe. just pure trash. what they've been doing and how they've been acting is an embarrassment to the entire sport, the great commonwealth of pennsylvania and especially this league, which to me looks more and more crooked. had just say rinaldo laid the hit neal laid on couturier on say malkin, we're talking 25 game suspension. neal should absolutely be suspended, 4 games for running couturier and 3 for running giroux. asham just done for the playoffs and 10 games next year. i'm ok with adams, if he plays wednesday i'll be upset, but i can live with that. i think the league needs to do something unprecedented and suspend crosby, the penguins' captain for stirring the pot and taking cheap shots then hiding behind the refs (that's the face of the league?) he was diving in games one and two, but their pp couldn't score, so he's resorted to this crap, that cannot be tolerated, to whom much is given much is expected, and he was completely classless. and last but not least dan bile-sma rest of the playoffs plus 5 games next year, you can't tell me he isn't encouraging this type of behavior, and if he's not he's not doing enough to stop it. complete lack of leadership, and one hell of a major douche. and guess what those cheap shot artists have another shot to cause injuries to our players that inconvenience them by having to work to beat us. just so ungodly bad, something major better happen.

it's two highly powered offenses, one goalie playing average, one goalie playing with zero confidence possibly due to his team's suspect defense, a ton of dirty play, a ton of penalties, zero control from the officials, zero discipline from the pens and a team with every piece needed for a championship imposing its will on a team with 2 whiny superstars and a bunch of bandaids, oh and neal who i now think is a goon. that pretty much sums it up

Shannahan must go! He is a joke. There is ZERO consistency on suspensions with him. He is the cause of all these problems by letting the "stars" do what they want & the lesser know players get suspended for lesser infractions. What an embarrassment.

Is the rest of the NHL finally starting to understand what Flyers fans have been saying about Crosby since the minute he stepped on the ice in the NHL?

Also, some of you need to review Phillips' hit on Callahan. It was the same exact his as Hagelin's on Alfie. One resulted in injury, one didn't. One resulted in a suspension, one didn't.

How about if John Scott comes out, jumps Spezza, and punches his 7 times without Spezza even getting his gloves up.

- Moshe52792

First of all, not the same hit at all, Phillips hit with the shoulder and Callaghan was leaning forward a little. Hagelin rode upwards with the elbow.

Second of all, that is exactly what Boyle did to Karlsson. Which the refs for some reason deemed was worth 2 minutes each for roughing.

Ottawa wouldn't have to police itself if the referees had called that correctly in the first place.

I'm late on this one, but I think Boyle was told by the coach not to retaliate if someone comes after him. The plan would've worked had they not thrown out Dubinsky and had they scored on the ensuing 5 minute powerplay.

On another note - I hope the other Sens players chip for the wages Carkner lost due to the suspension.

Yea I mean, it looks as though it has taken an EPIC collapse by the Penguins in one of the most hyped up first round matchups in a long time for it to be seen nationally about this Penguins team.

I think it is time for the NHL to begin branding a new face of the league. Run with Claude Giroux and Steven Stamkos as the new poster boys!

Yea I mean not just cause Giroux is on the Flyers, which is a plus, but Stamkos and Giroux are widely respected and liked players around the league. They are players you can't help but get behind and like. They are everything Sidney Crosby is not when it comes to branding a player. How do you brand a player as the face of your league that EVERYONE hates? Not much logic to that.

Unfortunately, I highly doubt the NHL is gonna put the Flyers and TBL at the fore-front of their league.

Hey Shanny

I would like to see the NHL s best players skate shoot hit

You have lost it, and what is with the refs

No Control, do the reffs have long experience in the playoffs
are they rookies?

Funny how the refs immediately jumped in and took control when Giroux and Crosby were tangled up looking to fight... I can't ever remember refs jumping in that quickly before.

I don't have a 'fan' thing on the side, but just to preface, I'm definetely a Sens fan.

What I don't get about the whole thing on Saturday night, is why did Carkner go after Boyle? If the Sens are going to take a 5 min penalty, why wasn't it Gaborik or Richards?

If NYR want to take liberties on Ottawa's star, it should have been a star that Carkner went after. Why go after Boyle? That won't make him learn is lesson. If Gaborik got a severe beating, Boyle surely would have taken notice.

To me, the Rangers have everything to lose and nothing to gain by turning this series into a slugfest. Ottawa is the CLEAR underdog. NYR have more talent, and a better goalie. After Boston, Ottawa is probably the toughest team in the NHL. I don't understand why, if you're the Rangers, you want to cheap shot Ottawa's stars. It can only end badly for you - especially if you really want to have a long cup run. Even if you get by Ottawa, you don't want your guys hurt going forward, do you?

If I'm a Rangers fan, I'm hoping everything settles down. If Boyle goes out and does something similar to Spezza, Karlsson or Michalek, don't expect him to be paying the price this time.

The Rangers got extremelty lucky that Carkner chose to go after Boyle instead of one of their stars. If the Rangers try it again, I don't think they'll be so lucky.
