I am simply embarrassed to be a Pens fan right now. From their complete lack of discipline and structure from a hockey standpoint to their frustration and cheap shots galore. I honestly hope this ends in game 4. They deserve to lose.

It struck me watching this game, just how much the Pens have played right into the Flyers hands. It's like watching a mirror image of what the Pens used to do to the Flyers in years past, except with a complete lack of anything that resembles goaltending or defense thrown in for good measure. Laviolette could not have paid the Penguins enough to be playing exactly how they are.

Asham should be out until October, chin/throat/collarbone - I don't care.

Neal's hit was late and he left his feet. Regardless of if the player was injured or not, that was cheap. Neal isn't a cheap player normally, but he'll have to answer for it in game 4.

All the scrums and fights and BS in the 3rd was the refs doing a terrible job of keeping the game under control. It's a playoff game with bitter rivals that stuff happens and should happen, but the extent of which was a failure by the refs and a misguided attempt to salvage something from this travesty by the Pens.

Bylsma has had his backside handed to him by a superior coach in this series. Nothing else to say. The Pens are just a train wreck, but there have been so many times where a coach could have stemmed the tide or at least stopped the bleeding. Bylsma has done neither. He won't be fired, but this is probably his warning notice.

Bryz is awful, but Fleury is something that simply cannot be described by simple adjectives. I'm afraid where his head will be going forward from this. Brent Johnson is garbage in black pads instead of white, but Fleury should have been pulled sooner or not at all.

I'll reserve my "good luck moving forward" until I see the handshake, but I will say thank you to all of the Flyers fans who have posted in here during the series and made valid points. I don't post often, but it has been enjoyable reading the conversations, regardless of this ridiculous series.

Sorry for the book.

People would have been PISSED if Shero gave him the deal he got, that is fact.
- Gunner Staal

If he got the same deal and had the same kind of year as he did but for Pittsburgh I don't think people would care. He had 19 goals and 14 assists. This season was the season he needed to have after the 09 finals to prove that it wasn't a fluke. But injury and inconsistancy came about instead.

To be honest as big of a Talbot fan I was when he was in Pittsburgh, I still can't hate him and I am kind of happy that he had success this season. I just wish that he had gone invisible in the last few games.

We need Roberts and Geurin back.

There's no way he was getting that contract in Pitt. Even if RS wanted him to stay, Talbot would have been out of town once that offer was on the table.

The player that is a real surprise who came to Philly this summer is Voracek. Everyone in Columbus must be thinking "Where was this guy when he was here?"

- akane13

Um, did you ever watch Voracek play in CBJ?

They need some sort of maturity in the room. From top to bottom, it's missing.

Yes. He was never this noticeable. Usually good, but not like this.

You can't use hindsight to justify the deal at the time. Coming off the two years he had, there was no way Pittsburgh could do it. I will always support him though.

He was a focal point in CBJ. In Philly, it's pick your poison and he's down the list.

The Penguins fans are sounding like Cowboys fans... falling back on their cups to defend what has been a pathetic and absolutely despicable performance by their team. Sidney Crosby and the rest of your team are finally being exposed in this series for what the Flyers fans have seen them as since that little poop head came into the league. He is a great player, but the way he carries himself on the ice and the way the rest of that team carries themselves is pathetic.

Keep falling back on the cups you have won in the past when you get pinned into a corner. Those cups are completely irrelevant to the absolute ass whooping you have taken by the Flyers this entire year.

Worth a listen, it is admittedly long. They raise an interesting point about a leadership difference between this team and the 09 team. Basically they say there is no Guerin/Gonchar/Boucher/etc veteran leader to grab a guy like Letang or Neal and say "what the (frank) are you doing".

After watching the replays, I am just flat out disgusted with the way the Pens handled this game. After all that hoopla after the Islanders game.... pot, meet kettle.

Isn't that Crosby's job at this point in his career?

I don't think you'll find too many who wouldn't question the leadership or lack there of he displayed today.

Interesting that both coaches took the high road in the post game press conferences...I read where the league kinda put a gag order on them...fines would be handed down...not too surprising I guess.

Now the tough part comes for the Pens...how to pick up the pieces?

3 Playoff exits...all of them considered to be 'early'...even throwing in the TB series...makes you wonder if the problems run deeper.

Scratch that...they MUST run deeper.

This is a team in disarray...and there's are no answers in sight.

Well seriously...

I think I'll go over to the Caps board and post...

I'm sorry for giving my opinion on the game in a public forum. What do you suggest I do next time?

Again, you guys just sound bitter right now. I comment on your threads all the time without these cheeky replies. Why now?
