Our top line has been absolutely invisible. For any of you thinking that Parise deserves some monster contract, give your head a shake. He is worthless in the post season. He and kovy are having a competition to see who can be more worthless.
- WayneZ

Agreed, they have absolutely no chemistry.

have to play more than a period to win....
- Bowkes

absolutely...if they can put a few games together playing like they did in the first on friday or the third last night they will blow the panthers away....the 4 periods inbetween were terrible though

have to look at it that we stole home ice and if we hold serve at home we will have a chance to wrap it up next time we go to florida

For all of Kovy's talk about being ready this is the playoffs blah blah blah. Well its been all bullpoop out of his mouth. I think i saw him throw 1 hit and the lack of hustle by him is unacceptable in the playoffs. There were multiple times he takes two-three strides and he can get the puck but instead he just floats....For real did anyone tell the team the playoffs started cause it looked like we just played a regular season game in December . Not enough heart in this team i guess.

And why play Kovy 27mins if he only skates hard for about 5 of em...

Completely noticed this even closer to the end of the year, hes not engaged, he lets Zajac and Parise go in hard for the puck and floats, the one thing though with him hanging back i've noticed hes usually in place for a good back check or to help the D out.

Yeah but he coasts on the back check too. I don't get it he was hitting and playing good hockey right after the all star break and then towards the end of they year he has been playing like this and now its carrying over into the playoffs. This team is simply not playing with the required intensity and i can't figure out why that is.

What a poopty game. There's no excuse. This team just can't show up for the playoffs. Wtf?

They've been coasting playing 20 min games all year, and now it's gonna bite them in the ass against a younger, faster, and obviously hungrier Panthers team. They need to wake the (frank) up before they're the joke of the NHL Playoffs.

you're right....they have been streaky all year. they barely show up for some games...

say what you want about the regular season but if you can't get up for every playoff game then we dont deserve to advance....every other team looks like they would kill us right now if we were playing them

I can deal with bad games caused by bad bounces or a hot goaltender or whatever, but playing one period a game is getting too frustrating.....we win 5-3 if we played even two periods the way we played the third yesterday

I've been saying it all year. Parise can't play with Kovy. Period. A pee-wee coach could see that.

Kovy is off the rush, Zach is a cycle player. We all see it. Change that up and there will a huge difference in how our lines role.

Exactly just play playoff hockey. Finish checks, crash the net, stick up for your teammates whatever it is you have to do get involved in the (frank)ing game. They have played two regular season games in this series its embarrassing. All the other teams in the other series are playing on a completely different (frank)ing planet as for as the level and intensity of play goes.

I think a lot of us feel the same way. Well, I do anyway. It's not about being all flowers and rainbows all the time, this team looks like poop.

This team loses to any other EC team right now. And they may yet lose to the (frank)ing Panthers.

There's no heart, no soul, no get up and go!

WTF is missing?! It's the playoffs, you shouldn't need a rah-rah in your face (frank)ing speech, it should speak for itself and they should be giving every drop of sweat and blood on every single shift...and it's just not there. The effort isn't there.

And Zach needs to prove the haters wrong. So far he hasn't, he still cant show up for the playoffs...

Kovy too. (frank), the whole (frank)ing team needs to show up.

It's pathetic if they lose this series.

there was a considerable difference when henrique got put back on that line....they immediately clicked for a goal.....

i was pretty pissed to see zajac back at the end of the game....2 games and the top line with zajac does nothing, 2 minutes with henrique and we get a goal....yet the most important time of the game we were back with zajac

No disrespect to the Panthers either, i realize now it may come across that way, but this team hasn't put for the effort to show that they WANT to win this series. Because if they did, the score would've been different. For both games.

Because Zajac is the only player on the team who can win face offs consistently.

Sure, maybe he did but that's not a reason to not put him out there in that situation. Nobody else can win face offs either.

That worked for one period. Zajac, Parise and Kovalchuk was working well up until the end of the season. Zajac finds Kovalchuk and sets him up for good chances. And Zajac woks well with Parise on the cycle. Rather than drastic line changes why not intensity changes.

This poopty playoff effort/result has been going on for years. I bashed Zidlicky a lot when we got him, as i'm sure all of you remember. But he seems to be one of the only one's who realizes what's at stake and that it's the GOD DAMN PLAYOFFS!

Nothing is wrong with the lines. It's the effort and intensity that's making it look like chemisty isn't there. Debeor doesn't need to have some memorable speech in the locker room for these guys to get pumped up. They're grown men. If they can't motivate themselves, no one can. (frank)

Yup. We've proven that when were focused Florida has trouble even touching the puck. Only problem is we've only been focused for about two periods in two games. I don't know why its so doom and gloom after one game on here. We didn't play well, but if this team has shown anything its that it will come back hard.

honestly i think we just arent an intense or physical team look at the hits being thrown in every other series when i see what is being called checks for us it is just mind blowing if anything they are more like incedental contact chasing guys and waving your stick at them monster hits change series and we just dont have anyone other then clarky with the mentality to lay a big clean hit without taking a stupid penalty they need to be not so afraid to throw a hard check its like they are scared of getting hurt and if you arent willing to go through pain then chances are you dont have what it really takes to get anywhere in the playoffs
