I want to point out something about our rookies, especially Cooter and Schenn. So far they haven't seemed overwhelmed by all of this because they have been dealing with this kind of pressure their entire careers.

I'm not going to go so far as to compare a major tourney like the World Juniors to the NHL playoffs, but when you look at it from the perspective of a 16, 17, 18 year old kid it is pretty damn close. These two have been prepared for this stage by playing major minutes and being "the guys" for Team Canada for what is probably the second biggest hockey tournament in the world. The media blitz is just as intense, the games are just as crazy. This is why so far I think these two have represented themselves so well.

The media, the attention, is nothing new to them. Couple this with having some grizzled vets like Jagr, Briere, and Timonen to shepherd them through and they are doing a fantastic job.

They will continue to play key roles. Cooter is relishing his role as our chief shutdown guy, and Schenn is showing us what a physical beast he can be....Just like they did for team Canada.

They are difference makers so far, perhaps besides Giroux, the ones who have made the most difference so far.

I'm loving it!

JvR did skate yesterday and would be available in round two
- stveshdy

He practiced yesterday, he had been skating for a week already. Game 4 is Wednesday night, I think there is a chance JVR plays that game depending on what happens today.

The only reason I didn't mention Read is because he is already a little older and has had the benefit of age. The mental maturity of a 25 year old compared to an 19 or 20 year old is light years. I know he is a rookie, but I dont think of his as one.

Not a knock by any means, just a fact. Homer found a gem there!

Anyone else see Tootoo throw those punches to the back of zetterbergs head? I guess thats Nashville's strategy whenever he's on the ice 2-0 preds

I just threw his name in there for the heck of it. I know you weren't slighting him by not including him.

I think that's a safe bet. It's going to take a couple weeks to get back in shape and up to speed. Hopefully, when he comes back he'll be healthy and contribute.

Tootoo lost his stick and went over and started punching z in the back of the head. He got called for a penalty the preds killed it off and thrn scored on a mini breakaway.

SO the Hartnell logo is on the front with ads on the back? I'd prefer the logo on the back with the team logo on the front. But wouldn't mind that shirt.
