Im not trying to make fun of the oilers, And Toronto looks rough right now but we have a great prospect cupboard and some of them should be in the nhl next year. Im glad their getting playoff experience in the ahl this year and im also glad they wont have wilson next year so they actually get a chance. - LEAFSfan28191
Funny, could say the exact same thing about the Oil, but I don't see a heck of a lot of good forward prospects over there. You do know the Barons will win the Calder, right? |

It's Yakupov, not Danny DeVito. - laughs2907
Lol sorry he just looks.really small on tv lol doesnt change the fact hes still small. and corey locke was.putting bigger numbers then he was in the ohl. Oilers will look dangerously good if they can shore of the defense. i dont think ive ever seen so many stars on one team since....well the oilers of the 80's.. hmmmm conspiracy ....lol with these many stars there is zero reason for the oilers to be in the bottom of the league for a very very long time. assuming they can afford them. cuz u know offer sheets are gonna be coming in attempts to pry one or more away. On the flip side veterans will be more then happy to take edmonton seriously at the free agent market now lol |

Kadri, Colborne, Frattin,D'amigo and Ashton are all good prospect forwards. Kadri should be in the nhl next year and i think Frattin will too. I hope they give Colborne a chance. All of those kids are better than Conolly, Lombardi, and Crabb i have no clue why those guys are on our team. |

It's so much different now than it was back then, in the NHL now it's possible to win without having superstars, thats why having good d-men and a good goalie is so important. If I were the Oilers I would be making a trade, maybe not Yak, but i would put RNH Hall and Yakupov on the block and look for the best offer, you guys need some d men. Honestly the Rangers might be ideal trade partners for you guys, different conference, lots of D- prospects, they need scoring |

Hall and Nuge arent going anywhere, Yakupov is their best bet for trading since someone probably would overpay to draft him 1st overall. |

From what I have read he is a much better prospect than Hall, and a better scorer than RNH, so why would Yak be the only one who could be traded? |

Yakupov is a prospect Nuge and Hall play in the nhl and deserve to be their Nugent Hopins will be a 90 point player and Hall has the potential to be a 40-50 goal scorer |

Or they draft him, and assuming he lives up to potential, massively increase his trade value. |

While Clouts proposals are doubtlessly unrealistic, the reaction of some people is great. Like they were asked to trade Gretzky or Lidstrom lol. And suddenly Yakupov is a notch below previous 1st overalls too. Lol, good stuff. |

Isn't "doublessly unrealistic" a double negative? It's like you don't believe I am being unrealistic. Which would make me realistic, right? So thank you for that. |

The Jackets were completely screwing with Johansen all season. Had him on the 4th line playing 6 minutes a game.
Put him on the 2nd line with decent linemates, and you'd see a very different point total. - Maxbone
He started out on the top line. He eventually played HIMSELF to a healthy scratch. No thanks. If he needs linemates to be better Columbus can keep him, if they haven't already (frank)ed him up like they have so many before. |

I don't know what 'doublessly' means. The words I said made sense though. To expand, it meant, 'there is no doubt they are unrealistic.' I was merely being concise. |

This blog was not meant to be taken seriously was it?
Obvious joke correct?
I'm being serious. There is no way in anyone's right mind that they would think any of these trade proposals are rational.

It will take an overpayment to get that pick. It's been said. Repeatedly. It is known. By anyone knowing how things work. Overpayment scenarios? Yes. Particularly the Subban and Weber deals. Those have no chance of occurring. The other deals? That's the kind of offer it will take. This is why 1st overalls are almost never moved, because the asking price is huge. Ok? Hope that clears things up for you. |

You asked. You were answered. I agree that the Leafs will not trade their 2013 1st for Yakupov though. Burke will likely have dealt it for someone else before then. |

You're pretty optimistic.
#4 probably ends up being Gardiner, 5th overall in 2012, and 1st overall in 2013 with Toronto's luck. I'd pass. Been there done that with Kessel. |

Odds are non of those guys end up as anything more than depth forwards. It sucks but it's true. |

Cause we have enough soft forwards on our team. If you haven't noticed, the NHL is built around teams who have bulls on their teams plowing the way. Not bambi's frolicking through the forest. You may think I am again taking a shot at all your skinny kids. Really I wasn't. It was just a nice convenient surprise - Sheppy99
The leafs dont have the first clue what it takes to build a winner. 40 + years. Wtf are u chirpin for???? Stop makin an ass of yourself. Its embaressing |
