Man after hearing some of the ridiculous "projections" for first overall, I dunno how much it would cost to move to 2nd, and if it would be worth it.

I'd be willing to package Kadri with our 5th to move up to 2nd, I don't know if that would be enough + if Burke would do it.

You know since 2 and 5 becomes a little more blurry in the eyes of scouts I bet you could offer up Schenn or Kadri and your pick and move up to 2 no problem. Might even get a mid level asset back with the 2 pick. Seems like something CBJ would do actually. I get the vibe they are interesting in moving back for the right price.

Around the trade deadline, I read somewhere that they were more likely to trade the pick then hang on to it... I want to say I read it on TSN, to add credibility to this LOL, but I'm not sure.

See the thing is though I think they were planning on having the 1st overall around that time. Sliding down to 2 may or may not change things I'm not sure.

I'm personally not that high on Kadri so I would send him before Schenn though. I like Schenns game. Not a lot of young talent out there with that type of skill set. Kadri type players are easier to get your hands on.

Kadri's definitely a project. He was supposed to have stepped in at some point over the last 2 years and he hasn't. He has the tools to be a pretty decent goal scorer in this league though, to put up 30ish goals. I'd hate to give up on talent like that, but if the Leafs were really high on someone at 2nd overall, I'd pull the trigger.

Seems like hes got the hands, but suspect skating.
Regardless of the skating, he could still Put up numbers provided hes in the right situation and has the right linemates

The only way I can see the Myers deal go down is if we trade for the rights to Weber

This is a funny blog post. If Yakupov will be better than the Nuge and Hall, why wouldn't the Oil trade on of them instead of Nail? Just because they've been on the roster for a year or two doesn't mean they're more valuable to the team.
