I get you man but the thing presented itself as "Pennsylvania Cold War" which seems kind of unbiased, but then it unfolded as if the Germans were blitzing France. The creator of the vid should have just called it "Penguins whoopin' Flyer ass."

Hopefully game 1 was the Victory over France moment for the Flyers.

Yeah but shouldn't Columbus be playing the role of France?

Yeah...why are the Flyer fans complaining about anything right now, they won...didn't they?

I would not be surprised...as much as each game is new...to see the Flyers momentum from game 1 carry over into the early part of Game 2. I can quite easily see the Pens playing well yet being down by a goal or two halfway through the game.

A comeback win might be just what the doctor ordered.

You don't know flyer fans do you. Come over to the Meltzer blog after a Flyer win...there will still be people female doging.

"We won but we were outshot by 5 shots!!!"

"Damn Matt Carle only had one assist. He needs to be traded!"

"Jody Shelley was a little slow tonight when he was getting Bob Clarke his popcorn up in the press box!"

I wish you all luck tonight, at least as far as not running out of tissues before the third period! Enjoy the game!

Pittsburgh needs win Friday after suffering Game 1 meltdown Wednesday

Crosby better get himself on of these to wear if he is going to constantly throw his head back fishing for a call every time a Flyer get's near him.

I see that Crosby is being accused as a diver. I have to wonder if any Flyer fans noticed how easily the rough a tumble Scott Hartnell went down in the first period from a Matt Cooke shove. With how hard Hartnell went down one would think he had been Shea Webered.

I thought he was just cheering the Pens on, it must have been when he signed the contract.

“@emptynetters: In 2009 playoffs, Mark Eaton averaged the least TOI among Pens Dmen with 18:07. In Game 1, Wed., Ben Lovejoy brought up the rear with 9:23.”

“@emptynetters: In 2009, Gonchar led all Pens dmen with an average TOI of 23:02. In Game 1 Wed. Letang led the Pens with 28:18 (which went to OT).”

I think that those comparisons have merit. You have to use the bottom pairing. Especially when Martin isn't exactly a world beater right now.

Pretty excited about Bennett signing. Can't wait to see him get a season of pro hockey and see how he responds. Also my wife was in an accident this morning and has a concussion. They said if she doesn't feel better over the next few days she has to go see Sid's doctor. She's fine other than the concussion. Just thought I'd share Ha Ha LGP! We'll kick your arse you flyer scum!!

I think both martin and z have struggled. I thought Lovejoy and Engellend looked pretty good, but I don't know how much lovejoy's limited ice time had to do with just returning from injury. I just think both martin and z need to simplify their games. Too many times they make bad decisions. Martin needs to get it out of his head that he has any offensive prowess. Every time he joins the rush (or God forbid leads it), bad things happen.

I have given Martin a lot of rope the last two years, I think he is starting to hang himself with it.

Don't let Z off the hook. He makes a lot of bad decisions. Particularly when the puck is on his stick in the offensive zone. He seems to pass on the wide open shot waits for someone to get in his lane then blasts it off their shin guards and they are going the other way 2 on 1. Defense is a team responsibility not just the defenseman. I think our problem are more on the forwards trying to be cute with the puck. Simple plays and being smart will win this series. I give a lot of credit to the Flyers for not quitting after digging a 3-0 hole. Hopefully we get that same lead tonight and don't collapse. LGP!!

I think you can replace the word "I" and with "Bylsma". Martin was brought in because the scouts said he had some offensive abilities. Maybe he did as a junior, but he's really prone to poor decisions and give-away's when he carries the puck.

Clint Eastwood...."a man's got to know his limitations". Somebody needs to pass this along.....

Paulie,
You are limited offensively please stop starting the rush or joining it for that matter. The scouts were wrong about you.

Especially when you're playing with a lead. It wasn't like they had to throw Letang over the boards every other shift because they were pressing for a goal.

We just need to fit him with a shock collar and post some transponders at each blue line. Someone will just need to flip the corresponding switch each period to block his entry into the offensive zone.

I don't think they would do that. How do you politely tell a teammate he sucks?
