Nice win by the Flyers tonight folks. I can't remember the last time my team has played such horrid defense and bad situational hockey. Enjoy your evening.

I don't want to think too far ahead or think the series is over, but the Flyers now find themselves in position to make this a shorter series than they would have originally thought, which could go a long way to winning the real war here. This series was supposed to drain whatever team won it so that they'd be gassed for the next rounds, but the Flyers could get out without that happening. I hope that's motivation to really come out at home and take this thing by thing by the horns, and not get complacent because they have a series lead.

If they stop the bad starts, then this thing could be over in 4 maybe 5 games.

You're good peeps in my book Emp. I might trash your team but for the most part I've grown fond of some of you penguin fans.

You figure based on the law of averages that they'll score first at some point. The good defense displayed after the Flyers took the lead leaves me encouraged they'll have a good chance to win those games

They are using CBC's coverage, they badly timed it getting back to the feed
- ob18

Yeah, I just realized it's CBC's coverage. How does it happen that they miss the start of a period? Isn't that like TV 101? This coverage is amateur hour stuff.

Still can't wait to see what happens when they have the second game scheduled and the first game goes into three overtimes, I'm sure they do not have a contingency plan in place for that. The plan is the fan gets screwed from watching their team.

Especially if they don't have any chaotic breakdowns, hard to do against a team like the Pens. They are too good not to catch you with your pants down or force you into a mistake once in a while. Who knows, maybe the Flyers are just an anomaly and falling behind is the key to their success.

Right now, the only draw back to diving or unsportsmanlike conduct is it washes out the other penalty. Diving should be a 4min penalty, ie. 2 more then the other call.
- leon neon

something...most of the time the original play wasnt even a penalty.

Thought they feed it into another channel like TNT or something like that until the original game is over.

I'm not sure they do that. I believe the NBC family of networks has all political news shows on at night, they won't pull them and lose the ratings.

Games are on CBC, and NBC, if they need a third channel, I don't believe they have anything in place.

used to be, they would have an alternative in case of overtime and you could also catch a game on the NHL pckg channels. missed a lot of the chi/pho gm because of this new setup, which sucks.
