It seems if Rinaldo cannot avoid penalties, whether his game is being officiated fairly or not, Laviolette is not putting him on the ice only 4:18 tonight. What is the consensus, keep him in the lineup, or get Harry Z in there?
- PLindbergh31

i don't think you can throw harry z in at this stage.

If Rinaldo is out there is a better choice then Harry Z.
- MJL

I agree. the physical element is more important...esp given that wellwood has essentially replaced Harry z w/ greater versatility.

Couterier a +4, Malkin a - 4. God bless mono.
- Duran76

Cooter is making Malkin look like he was scratched.

That being said, be wary of the Refs trying to get Pitt back in the series in game 3. You know it's going to happen.

It's hard to figure Bryz tonight. He played well enough to win, and made some amazing saves, as well as timely saves, but he also allowed one very soft goal. I guess I would give his performance in the series thus far a solid B. He doesn't have a good save %, but that can be skewed. He's faced a ton of quality chances. I would say he's given up two soft goals in this series thus far.
- PLindbergh31

I think it is a save that needs to be made. But I would not call it a very soft goal. Not at all. It deflected in front of him and squeezed through. His performance is far better then a solid B. It's an A all the way. They do not win either game if not for Bryzgalov's play. I say he has given up zero soft goals so far.

Oh not for us, though.

In the last goal that Couter scored, what was Fleury doing so far across to Roo's side so early?

- PT21

He was wondering WTF Giroux would do, of course. Nice to have that kind of guy in Philly

the fifth goal was soft. i'm sure he'd want that back, but i think that's the only one of the series so far. i really don't blame him for the flukey 3rd goal in game 1. took a series of bounces around the net, and the whole non-icing thing there.

The refs have nothing to do with it. And that conspiracy doesn't exist.

Why don't the Flyers recall Matt Ford?
- Scottie Upshall

Not sure. He's certainly played as well as any player on the Phantoms. I'm guessing the NHL playoffs isn't the time to make your NHL debut.

Your not kidding because I thought Bryz was fantastic.
- stveshdy

Yea, made incredible stops tonight. Glove save against Letang was dirty good. These guys dont quit and the Flyers are playing hard nosed hockey. I think if they can beat the Pens, I think they can take on any team in the East.

Yeah, I guess that third goal in game 1 was more fluky than soft. He's played well no doubt. There have been a good amount of breakdowns in front of him.

I wonder what the Pens would prefer. If they are up by 2 in game 3 it must be unnerving. They would probably prefer the Flyers score first.

I guess considering the third goal against Bryz was kinda fluky, I would give Bryz a B+, and give Fleury a C-.
