I agree. I don't think it's worth discussing in depth, but I do think it's overblown a little bit, but they certainly do it and do it well. I just don't have respect for those types of plays. Briere is also one that embellishes a lot. Makes me sick when he blatantly fakes a penalty, but it is what is. I'm not going to turn down a PP opportunity.

The refs have a tough job. They are at ice level and the game is so fast, I see why players do that to get their attention, just looks foolish though to me.

Did I ever tell you guys how Jody Shelley is the worst player on the Flyers and sucks?

I've tried to have an open mind when it comes to Shelley. If the Flyers need his money they will send him down to use his cap space.

Nothing wrong with disagreeing or debating a subject. I enjoy the debates with you. And I encourage you to offer a different opinion if that's the way you feel. It's what should happen. I respect your opinion on the diving issue. I just feel it's part of the game and no big deal.

I'm interested to see how Kubina fares. If its the Kubina we saw the last few games, well probably see his minutes low, but if he can be the guy he was when he arrived, I think it's a big upgrade. If Kubina is indeed hurt or fallen out of favor, why not try Gus tonight?

I'm going with Florida. Jersey hasn't been out of the 1st round in 3 seasons, 4 if you include their non playoff season last year.

You have to wonder with the off seasons Briere has had, when is it going to have an off playoffs? I'm not wishing or hoping for it but man is he a beast when it counts. Year after year, I don't know why I'm surprised.

Might be too soon to call Schenn this year's JvR or Mike Richards but certainly a good start. He had some jump the other night.

I think this site has peaks and valleys as it always did. I miss having all the old regulars around because it was more knowledgable people talking puck. I think you have to take good with the bad and it would be better if some of the old school guys came back

Schenn really impressed me last game. It was almost JVResque from the Boston series. I hope he keeps it up. Finally get to see what the "Number 1 prospect not in the NHL" hype is about. Imagine if Schenn keeps this up, and JVR comes back and after a few games can do the same.

I was thinking last night how I'd almost forgotten JVR was in the team. He barely played at all this year. HUGE boost if they get him back in the lineup soon. We still have messy on he shelf. Unreal depth this year.

I agree, it's going to make an interesting off-season discussion about what you do will all this depth, and the defense and cap, ect... But we have a Cup to win now. Cant wait to get JVR back.
