Nope, nor am I blaming them. I'm criticizing the NHL and the media, not the Pens.

My issue on the icing is, you have one guy calling it an ice for 195 feet and then at the very last second it gets waved off and the principals in the play have no view of the guy waving it off. Looking at the video, the linesman making the wave off is in poor position. There are several players closer to the play than he is, and who can not see him waving the play off.

A lot of the "whining" done over that is in response to the reaction to the blown offsides. It's been made out as though the Flyers won because of a bad call, rather than battling back and winning because they were the better team for the last 35-40 minutes of the game.

No, a player can be suspended for an unintentional play such as a check that went wrong. Many of the suspensions handed out by Shanahan have addressed whether it was intentional or not, or whether there was intent to injure or not, a player can still be held responsible. If a hit is an accident, how can it be dishonorable?

It's even worse when the "face" of the NHL does it. It's a poor example to set for all the kids that love this guy.

I have no issue with the embellishment of things as it seems to be a common practice. Carcillo used to have a bobble heard that would snap back for skating past him. It's unfortunetly part of the game so I can live with it. It's the actual diving the irks me but I haven't seen any of that as of yet.

I have, and will continue to contribute to this blog. There are times I disagree with people.. and i am sure there have been times where I have been the catalyst.. I didnt say this board sucks.
