Any penguins fan that complains about the offsides can just eat it! It was the hockeygods making up for that blown icing call.

The same linesman blew the Briere offsides and the icing.

I'll cut him some slack on the offsides (not cause it benefitted the Flyers ) but the icing I'm still confused about.

I can respect a ref who is equally horrible to both teams.

I unfollow those kind of people. It's like here. When it gets too thick in here, I simply talk pucks on twitter. Where there IS an ignore feature and where I don't have to deal with Flyers fans trolling their own team's fan base.

speking of trolls, i notice a strange absence of Pen Trolls today. I guess they are

The difference between a blown icing call (at least as it went down in this game) and a blown offside, is that the Flyers defenseman should know to play to the whistle. You're in the top hockey league in the world, in the playoffs, and you just assume a play is dead rather than playing through? Are you kidding me?

I loved your reply to Wyshynski last night about beating the horses carcass.
He has Penguin bias, no?

They weren't really hear last night either. They realize that being a troll right now puts them out of the series. Sadly, a few Flyers fans did not absorb that message.

did anyone bother to hear Melrose's take on the game? He should have been wearing a #87 jersey instead of a tie. Not that he isnt a joke anyway but . .

This is gonna sound strange (possibly) to some... but you couldnt have asked for a better win last night.

If the Flyers had won 3-2 in a back and forth affair it would have been great.. but they spotted 3 goals and showed their resiliency once again. They know they can come back from anything.. while putting doubt in any lead the pens have

I understand your point. My point was, that if I'm a player and the refs give me calls when I do something, I'm going to do it until they tell me to knock it off or call me for a penalty for it.

Not Crosby's fault the refs buy what he's selling. He's trying to win the game and give his team an advantage.

- Jsaquella

My point on all of this is don't go around saying you have grown up and then still put on the acting show.
I understand he's selling it but don't try to state to everyone that you have outgrown it and it's blatant that you haven't. I would expect no less from a star player...

Picking the Pens is the glamour pick, i said it last night on Twitter. It's the easy pick. Why pick the Flyers?
the media goes with the favorites...it's an easy sell.

How about that play at the end of the period where the Penguins player was ready to line him up and he saw him and lowered his shoulder and laid the dude out and turned and went right at him when he got up? That was a mans play.

I also love how he backs down from NO ONE. Going right at Sidney Crosby

- Flyers2821

that was adams. he punked him good. and he also laid the hammar on malkin and took the puck away. it (frank)ing ruled.

Today is national grilled cheese day. Too bad the Flyers don't play. It would be a natural day for G to have a big game.

Grossmann took a bunch of big hits as well. He's not 100%, hopefully he can hold up.
- PLindbergh31

he took some punishment, which is what the pens should be doing, but grossmann did not look like guy with knee issues to me last night. thought he skated well, and played well, even though he was on the ice for 2 goals. his partner, on the other hand, had a rough game, imo. struggled moving the puck, got beat by crosby badly on the first goal, and didn't lay the body on vitale when he had a prime chance in a situation that would not have been boarding. i hope coburn rebounds tomorrow.

That's the linesman's call. It was clear even in real time Briere was offsides, it wasn't all that close. Flyers got a break, call was clearly missed. It happens.
- PLindbergh31

just the same as when the linesman calls it offside when they think the puck leaves the zone and it's pretty clear that it did not. it happens.
