MAB left the game with an injury. Kubina may have to play anyway. Sure would be nice to have Meszaros. Every time Lilja and MAB were on the ice last night things got dicey. - PLindbergh31
Thats what's being reported. But how anxious were flyers waiting to hear a progress report on him? He was totally in over his head in that first period. A few minutes in he had the puck all alone behind his net and was flubbing it around completely panicking, eventually throwing it up the boards I think. He made a weak pass behind the net and turned it over. He was not ready for this tonight. I hate to kill the kid but it was addition by subtraction when he left the game.
That's the linesman's call. It was clear even in real time Briere was offsides, it wasn't all that close. Flyers got a break, call was clearly missed. It happens. - PLindbergh31
Briere was so far behind the play and the linesman was up ice and not on the blueline. Very tough call for the linesman to make.

the flower did seem skittish i agree
loved how they just kept dumping it in.. felt like Fleury had to play the puck like 50 times...and each time seemed shakier than the next. he'll make a mistake sooner than later
How about that play at the end of the period where the Penguins player was ready to line him up and he saw him and lowered his shoulder and laid the dude out and turned and went right at him when he got up? That was a mans play.
I also love how he backs down from NO ONE. Going right at Sidney Crosby - Flyers2821
That was awesome i jumped off my couch on that one. The future of this team is built down the middle now:
Like I said in the post above, that trade is a double edged sword because acquiring Richards was a great thing for the Kings franchise... maybe even despite what Schenn and Simmonds do as Flyers.
It is a trade that just simply made sense for both sides and seems to have worked out for both sides as well. - Flyers2821
It was just time. Richards had issues with the media, and I'm fairly confident that there were other issues in the room. I wish him and Carter well. I rooted for those guys for 6 years. I'm not going to hate them because they got traded. I wish them well, short of beating the Flyers
I think Schenn is -- and will continue to be -- a player who is very effective when he plays with a nasty physical side to his game and has his feet moving but looks very ordinary when he tries to get fancy. Last night was Schenn's A game.
Side note: I consider myself to be pretty level-headed. But I have to admit that the snarky digs at the Flyers from U.S. and Canadian media guys on Twitter got under my skin a bit -- "yeah, that Grossmann-Coburn pairing out there against Crosby is going to work real well for Philly,", "Vicious crosscheck to Crosby's head after he scored -- I see where this is going", "Typical Flyers playoff goaltending," "Penguins 3 - Linesman 1".
Funny how those same guys stopped commenting on the game when the Flyers came all the way back to win.
Where were the corresponding "Not sure why icing washed out there, and it led to a goal -- tough break for Philly," "typical Flyers resiliency", "Grossmann really stuffed Crosby there," "Rookie Couturier is totally shutting down Hart Trophy shoo-in Malkin tonight," "Bryzgalov has settled in", "Fleury starting to look rattled -- shades of 2010 and 2011 playoffs?" comments later on in the evening?
I thought McKenzie and Dreger's in-game tweets were fair and accurate. Many of the other guys, not so much.

it should have been Penguins 2 linesman 2 after that one. I believe the blown offsides was the hockey gods way of evening things up after that blown icing call.

Was that the tsn feed or versus? Or were they the same?

I unfollow those kind of people. It's like here. When it gets too thick in here, I simply talk pucks on twitter. Where there IS an ignore feature and where I don't have to deal with Flyers fans trolling their own team's fan base.

According to the national media darth vader wore a black costume with orange underwear....
The blown offside was blatant. The waved-off ice was mystifying because Flyers neither were able to play it nor did the Penguins cancel it out. So, yes, the missed calls evened out in the end.
