I just took a peek over at the Penguins site, and I am really upset with the Flyer fans there bashing the people in this thread. I'm going to exclude Nutter because he actually came in here and said what he thought, but the rest of them....

I mean, come on... I can see if you dont like certain posters and the way they get into debates... The easy answer is, don't debate with them. They keep referring to 1 poster that drags a conversation on for 3 pages. Well if its me, just say so. If its someone else say something to them. You guys are going into the penguins blog and whining about how we whine here...

I came to this site because the blogger is excellent, and its about the only place I can go to at work and have an almost "live" hockey conversation with my fellow flyers fans. I will talk just about anything hockey, and I wont see the team with rose color glasses just because they won a game. I wont love a player just because they scored a goal. If I want to discuss the merrit of a player on the team with another member of the board... So What? I thought that was what we were here to do.

I didn't realize this thread was just about laughs, videos, and funny pictures, not that I have a problem with them...

I dunno, rant over...

- RooNosHockey

Ok your rants are really long and upsetting.

Ok maybe not, it's easy to trash people when one is behind a keyboard or using a smart phone so I refrain from talking about other posters.

I would hope that if people had a problem with someone else that they would either ignore that person or hash it out post to post.

I meant to comment on this too...

If I remember correctly, that was Coburn who turned the puck over. I thought Coburn owed Bryz a huge steak for that one. You could see Bryzgalov shaking his head after the whistle, in a 'WTF?' sort of way. I was cracking up.

I was freaking out, too. But I have a new next door neighbor and didn't want to be yelling like a nutso at 10:30 at night before I'd even met her.

when i sent a .gif of Lavy's gamewinning fistpump to my wife she said she wished she had one of my face when it happened and then another one of my little daughters' faces reaction to me. good times had by all (i think).

Patience! When you get older they let you watch what you want in the man cave as long as you leave her alone. In the mean time, try doing the dishes.

I don't mind watching the game alone but it would be cool if she was into it.

Flyers vs Islanders in 80 is on there.

Didn't find it yet, but did notice something odd - Colin Campbell called out linesman Tony Sericolo, who blew the Briere offside call. Never see that happen.

Good to see I've reached rock star status in here

I came by earlier, read some posts, got sick and went back to work. But I don't want to be a "fairweather poster", so good game.

in regards to Coots...

if it wasn't for homer pulling the plug on Carter, we wouldn't have a 19 year old shut down forward...could you imagine Coots on another team?

in homer we trust!

Yeah, I saw that earlier. Really odd, but the league can't be happy it's flagship franchise lost. I wonder if he's unhappy about the icing call?

I read it. Not cool in my opinion. Fraser has a nice response on the call is his article from the perspective of a former official.

Interesting. I believe Oduya has been every bit the prize to Chicago as Grossman has been for us.

I don't think the League looks at it that way. I think they're unhappy that an obvious call was blown regardless of who the team is.

Some pressure on the Rangers tonight eh? They need to get this first round series done. Good matchup for the Sens

It kind of makes me jealous of him. I wish when i was 19 (21 now) I was drafted and played for an NHL team

One thing stood out to me last night. About a minute in a half into overtime the Flyers 4th line was out. There was a loose puck that was scooting up the boards towards the flyers end of ice into a vacated area. A race ensued that from the very start appeared Neal would easily win. The Flyer that beat him the 2/3 length of the ice was Wellwood. Beat him cleanly in the race and controlled the puck in our end. I can't help but thinking a couple years ago that would be Carcillo/Asham/Betts in that situation and Neal would've got a freeby chance on Bryz. I love the speed of the forwards. Fastest we've ever had IMO.

He really is a steady dman. I would have loved him over Kubina however, I am not going against what Homer has done.

Don't know if you saw it, but I posted a video last night of Fraser's explanation on the non-call (Sericolo actually waved the play clean) on TSN TV.
