Key players who definitely turned the momentum of the game around. Schenn with his physical play. He was a leader last night. He led by example. Bryzgalov made some big saves even in the first and giving up 3. As well as saves that were certain game savers in the 2nd. As well as Briere, and the breakaway goal. Even though it was a blown call, he still potted it. Those are the main cogs who strapped the team on their back and pulled them through. That's not to omit other players, because it really was a team effort to get back in it and pull it out.

Schenn was a beast from the drop of the puck. He really brought his physical game last night.

Danny, what more can you say, the guy is money!

Bryz was excellent last night. I don't fault him for any of the goals and credit him with some humongous big stops.

Grossmann and Coburn started to find their game after a shaky start and shut down Malkin or what ever line they happen to be out against at that time.

It really was a team effort.

We'll see it if continues. But Schenn showed a quality last night that not a lot of players have. I'm really excited about him as a player.

One thing stood out to me last night. About a minute in a half into overtime the Flyers 4th line was out. There was a loose puck that was scooting up the boards towards the flyers end of ice into a vacated area. A race ensued that from the very start appeared Neal would easily win. The Flyer that beat him the 2/3 length of the ice was Wellwood. Beat him cleanly in the race and controlled the puck in our end. I can't help but thinking a couple years ago that would be Carcillo/Asham/Betts in that situation and Neal would've got a freeby chance on Bryz. I love the speed of the forwards. Fastest we've ever had IMO.

YES!

Bryz turns around and places his stick on top of the net and shakes his head.

That glove save on Sully changed everything.

Great, funny moment. If you blink, you miss it, but I'm so glad I caught it.

Lost my internet connection last night. It's a shame too because I had quite a few gems to share with you fine people. Didn't backread so I'm probably leight, but I just wanted to say that I continue to be astounded by Couterier's defensive game. I look forward to a decade plus of him handling Malkin.

It really is astounding. 19 year old players just don't come into the League with that kind of defensive game. He's special, no doubt.

insane that a 19 year old kid can play that well against a star like Malkin.

It's games like these that bring a team together. The way they've come back all year shows they're already together, but last night can do nothing but strengthen that.

He answered every challenge. Adams coming back at him at the end of the first, wasn't random. That is a veteran giving a physical challenge to a Rookie. To see what he's made of and whether he would back down. To try and intimidate him because Schenn was looking like the best player for the Flyers. Schenn answered it and passed with flying colors. To basically say to not mess with me. Those little challenges are the game within the game. And are very important. And they set the tone. The game always comes down to those little battles. And the Flyers won a lot of them last night.

“It’s pretty amazing,” Briere said. “Sitting here after the first period, all we were saying was, we’ve done it all year. Let’s start with a goal. And you never know what can happen.

“But to make it happen in a hostile environment is a special feeling. You can’t dwell on that. It’s one game, you’ve got to move on, but I think for a few minutes it’s OK to appreciate what we just did.”

I love NHL playoff hockey. Every series has its own different story or theme. Best time of year. Why can't my wife understand this.

Patience! When you get older they let you watch what you want in the man cave as long as you leave her alone. In the mean time, try doing the dishes.
