and yes, when the entire nat'l media performs filatio on the team in your division that tanked for 6 years and should have been moved to okc because they have this winy crybaby who dives everytime he's touched. and when that media constantly takes away credit my team deserves, it feeds into my theory that the nhl has black-balled the flyers since the bullies days. there isn't a dirty player on the flyers. the closest thing we have is rinaldo and he gets called for every little thing. |

I didnt think Jagr was coasting. He just looked like he didnt have the wheels to catch up. When in doubt I still think you play the pass and allow the goalie to take the shooter one on one. - stveshdy
This. I think Jagr knew he couldn't catch that guy, so he dropped back to take a late man coming. |

The first period was a result f the entire team vein overwhelmed by the Penguins. After that first period it seemed like a totally different game. Anyone calling
Bryz weak or shaky last night is off base. He, along with he rest of the team looked frantic until the 2nd period but they calmed down rather nicely. - funmaster18
I completely agree. I just wish other people would understand that when you spend the whole period in your own zone especially against a team like the pens, you're gonna give up a couple goals. Just the way it goes. I won't lie, I was worried.
I started thinking, wow maybe they just aren't as good as I thought. Cuz for at least five minutes it was like 97 finals all over again, but man this team showed us what they are about and regardless the outcome from here on out that game has me in their corner. not like I already wasn't |

In a way I'm glad he didn't get suspended but I hope he shows more respect going forward. YEa I know it was retaliatory but he's gotta hold himself to a higher standard and pick his battles better. Win the series Shea not the fights. - JoeRussomanno
Sends a bad message imo. Let's grab a guy's head and turnbuckle it into the glass MMA style. A $2500 fine for that is a complete joke. I know the $2500 is the max (which is also a joke and needs to be fixed in the next CBA) but he should have been given a game for that. And I don't care what Zetterburg did to him just before that. It wasn't as egregious as what Weber did. |

well they just beheaded the linesman who missed the Briere offside call, so you may be onto something here.

YOu are right I'm just saying, I'd hate to see Nashville lose a series just because of that. and losing weber for a game just might swing the series in their favor, however I gotta imagine he's on thin ice from here on out. |

I figured he'd be done for this series for sure. Is he done for the playoffs too? I think it was the same linesman for both controversial calls. Correct? |

to anyone who thinks the briere goal was a break and dupuis' goal was legit: would the icing have been cancelled like that had the flyers iced the puck against the penguins in the same exact scenario?
also, what legit reason was the basis for the linesman waiving off the icing? no flyer was near it but took an alternative route to a make it seem like an icing, bryzgalov didn't play the puck, it clearly wasn't a pass that just bounced over a guy's stick, it certainly had enough steam on it to cross the goal line. what possible reason could there have been other than to screw the flyers and aid the peng-wines? |

Zetterberg has to do a better job of embellishing it. Maybe he can watch some tape on Crosby.

If that had been anyone other than Nashville's likely Norris Trophy finalist defenseman -- say, Klein or Bouillon instead of Weber -- I think Shanahan would have issued a suspension and not just a fine. - bmeltzer
Your right, also you have to think that if he got a game and zett didnt get anything then its ok to bait someone and get them knocked out for a game. I like how Shanny checked to see if he was hurt and when he found out he wasnt, he just gave webbs a slap on the wrist. I think of Zettiburg was hurt he would have gave webs a game |
