You guys still want Vanek? I'm not looking to unload him. But, if him and some picks gets us your first.....
- mrpurple

If we traded Vanek and our 1st and 2nd to get their 1st would you take Nail? We need centers but I can't see trading up to #1 to take Grigerenko. Vanek leaving would create an opening on the top line wing.

Can't have anybody named Tyler off of our roster.

I'm actually hoping they get another Tyler in the offseason.

Not that there is consistency, but Bobby Ryan only got two games for stomping on a guy with his skate. This is either 2 or less, if any.

No way he gets three. Maybe in the regular season. But no injury will save him. Had Zeterberg not been wearing a visor and his nose got smashed, probably a different story.

Ted Black see's nothing wrong.......................Wow really Ted you don't. Good luck getting players to want to come here after this embarrassment, you preached " all is well" at the beginning of the season with signing players and saying how great this team is and will be. Good luck Ted you and Terry will need it.

I don't have a problem with either ruff or regier coming back. I really like the moves regier did in the off season and during the deadline. When healthy this team was pretty good and their record when healthy shows that. Im really excited about the off season with the high picks that we have to see what comes of that.

I think roy has played his last game as a sabre and I wouldnt be upset to see vanek moved either. We have a great group of dmen we just have to find 1 or 2 difference makers up front. I know its easier said then done but we have the picks and prospects to make it happen. Time will tell.

Watching the LA v Vancouver game I just had a vision. A Vanek trade this summer is going to be the equivalent to the Mike Richards trade last summer. Roy will be dealt as well. The culture of the Sabres will be changed dramatically. The old core will get an enema and flushed out to start a new, hopefully winning culture and core.

I would really like to see the Kings play spoiler and knock the Canucks out in the 1st round. Canuck fans have gotten pretty full of themselves since last season.

Kassian is getting used to his full potential...sitting in the box for his teammate for 5 mins.... still think we won that deal

Kassian will be a player like Brad May. Nice, tough but he won't be a top 6 forward. He won't have the character of May though.

The immaturity and character issues are probablywhy the Sabres had no problem dealing him in his 1st pro year. It seems like they wanted to rid themselves of him before his value tanked. Not that they would have traded him for just anyone, but the planets aligned just right to have a team with a young, skilled center they were willing to deal for toughness.

that's why i was happy when we got rid of him and stole hodgson. if we got rid of him and didn't get anything good back i would have been pissed though.

Agreed.. and the first goal the Canucks got shows again how the reffing in the league sucks.. blatant goalie interference... Canucks fans need a kick in the teeth and a 1st round exit would do it... they think their team and themselves as gods or something when they've won jackpoop. Come talk when you have won a championship.. oh wait.. that will never happen...

When the Hell is NBC going to get a new theme song for hockey games? The one they have that starts the games and is used before commercials. I hate that song and its been around forever. Anyhoo, I hope this game goes to OT.
