Hopefully, if we can get a 6-0 lead or better.

Just really can't understand how a team can look like they did in the first and shut it down for the 2nd and 3rd. Not discrediting the Flyers win by the way, I would just like to see the effort from the first for 60 minutes. That shouldn't be too much to ask in the playoffs, if it is you'll be moving on. It's just that simple.

I am just in awe of the Flyers ability to come back. Really I am, this is like 10 of the last 14 games or something they've gotten down 2-0. Incredible.

It's encouraging as a fan, although I'd love to just have a damned game that they lead wire to wire and win 7-1

Thing is, part of why the Pens looked so good in the first was because the Flyers weren't playing like they can. The Pens aren't as good as they looked in the first and not as bad as they looked in the third.

Weber action on Zetterberg. Go back a bit for the gif.

A shutout would be better. Then there's no room for the obligatory Bryz still let in a softie accusations.

I meant more the physical aspect. The Pens came out hitting everything hard and often. That's what they need to do, except for the entire game.

Totally agree the Flyers came out flat but Pittsburgh let their foot off the gas from a taking the body standpoint.

This would be better if the top pick wasn't obviously three years old. Gonchar?

The Weber incident tonight. Literally grabs Zetterberg's head and slams it into the glass.

Good lord. Was Z hurt? It looked like he drove his head right into the dasher, after he punched him.

Anyone that thinks he let in a softy tonight doesn't know their ass from a hole in the ground....or is just one of the negative spin doctors

Nah, total embellishment from Zetterberg. Webber was just trying to adjust Z's helmet which had gotten out of position after the scrum in the corner. He was looking out for him really. No penalty there, and certainly no suspension.

Best Flyer on the ice tonight and it wasn't close. I don't know how much any of you followed him in junior but he lives for moments like this.

Odd. Because just the other day, some know-it-all in here was saying Schenn is a bust for the umpteenth time. Thankfully, he turned it around in one game.

I really only noticed him for the first time when he set Canada's record? For most points in a WJC.

As our former cellmate, Buts16, has stated many times "Schenn's going to be a beaut"

Agree that it's tough to sit on a lead but, on a league-wide basis, the team that scores first still wins 70 percent of the time. Flyers are best comeback team in NHL -- along with Pens, actually -- but it's still not the way you want to play. Flyers were able to go to the well again tonight and it paid off, but they still can't afford to constantly spot the Penguins early leads.

The flip side to this is that the Flyers know they CAN come back when they have to, and the Penguins know from a lot of first-hand experience that no lead is safe against Philly.

The Flyers are now already in a better position than they were in either of the two previous series with the Penguins since 2008. All the pressure is on Pittsburgh in the next game.

I think a lot of questions were answered about Brygalov tonight. He's always been questioned on how strong mentally he really is. He's always been questioned as a regular season goalie and not a playoff goalie. His seriousness about winning has been put into question due to his personality. Bryz has been a stone wall for nearly 2 months now. Our success weighs squarely on his shoulders.

A little early to call someone a bust I would say.

Listen, I franking hate the Flyers, make no mistake about it. But anyone that tells you both Schenn and Coots aren't going to be stars in this league doesn't know what they're talking about. We're talking about 2 of the best prospects 2 years ago in a country full of them. They weren't ranked that way by accident.

Cannot wait for Matt Carle to be gone. Do. Not. Re-sign. These primary assists on playoff OT game winners are getting awfully hard to stomach. Unacceptable. Time to go Carle you bum!

Yeah... His 4 assists in Game 4 vs. the Bruins in 2010 was surely an anomaly.

The negadelphian mindset that has broken out over the last 10 years or so has me rarely posting here. When the team has won and the naysayers have nothing much to criticize, it sure gets quiet in here. I spend my time elsewhere when the pathetic posts start up. It won't be long before I just say, "Seravalli it" and move on for good.

Surprised Carter didn't get a deep bone bruise on that one.
