Agree that it's tough to sit on a lead but, on a league-wide basis, the team that scores first still wins 70 percent of the time. Flyers are best comeback team in NHL -- along with Pens, actually -- but it's still not the way you want to play. Flyers were able to go to the well again tonight and it paid off, but they still can't afford to constantly spot the Penguins early leads.

The flip side to this is that the Flyers know they CAN come back when they have to, and the Penguins know from a lot of first-hand experience that no lead is safe against Philly.

The Flyers are now already in a better position than they were in either of the two previous series with the Penguins since 2008. All the pressure is on Pittsburgh in the next game.

the pressure is on the pens for the whole series. higher seed. bigger stars. every pundit and their grandmother picking them to win the series and most to win the cup. the flyers have are a bunch of rookies, with a bizarre goalie and are riddled with injuries.

It's tough to keep coming back. And as great as tonight's win was, it's one game. Would be the same thing if they lost. One game.

That said, the simple fact that they have come back so many times makes reading the wailing and gnashing of teeth really funny later on.

yes, it's only 1 game, but the pens have got to be a bit flummoxed by now.

This was more than a win tonight too, this had to have some sort of psychological effect. This was what? the third comeback by the Flyers on the Pens when they were down by three goals? It has to have an effect.
- JoeRussomanno

The first comeback when down by three (other comebacks were from a pair of 2-0 deficits and a 1-0 and they also twice came back from one-goal deficits in both of the games the Pens ultimately won in the regular season series_. But it's definitely in Pens' heads now -- how could it NOT be?

To some extent, I'm sure that the Flyers are in the heads of the Penguins. That said, I also know that the Penguins are going to use tonight's loss to fuel their fires.

Does this Flyers resiliency stem from the Boston comeback 2 years ago? There's enough guys still on the team that I think it probably plays a part of why this team is so good at coming back. They beat the ultimate odds already. I always thought coming back and winning that series had the possibility of doing good things down the road for the guys that would still be around.

Hopefully, if we can get a 6-0 lead or better.

Just really can't understand how a team can look like they did in the first and shut it down for the 2nd and 3rd. Not discrediting the Flyers win by the way, I would just like to see the effort from the first for 60 minutes. That shouldn't be too much to ask in the playoffs, if it is you'll be moving on. It's just that simple.

I am just in awe of the Flyers ability to come back. Really I am, this is like 10 of the last 14 games or something they've gotten down 2-0. Incredible.

The 1st period today (or....yesterday....whatever) is going to be NOTHING compared to what the Pens come out with on Friday.

Lavy might as well scratch Koobs, MAB, Lilja, and Rinaldo for 4 Spartans.....

Hard to say, a real different team now then that team was personnel wise.
