I think Carle had something to do with it also. - MJL
One of those times when just getting the puck on net was worth more than a Chara slapshot.

I'm not sure who's more shocked. NBC's broadcast staff or the Pittsburgh Penguins. - Pixote Andolini
Pierre will still touch himself while looking at his Crosby poster, no doubt.
Why was Malkin a healthy scratch tonight?
You're welcome for Briere. |

after getting swept last year, it is so huge to win this first game and get off the proverbial schneid. |

My mind is blown. The Pens must be reeling. They threw everything at the Flyers, got a 3-0 lead in the first period, home team, and they lost the season series pretty convincingly. Even if the regular season does not matter, it must get to them now.

Words cant express how much I love these guys! - MBFlyerfan
Ya know, it drives me nuts. All I read after the first period was they don't have enough grit, this guy sucks. They shouldn't get this matchup. All nonsense! They don't have enough grit? Are you kidding me?
This team does not quit. The don't give up. They keep playing and coming no matter what. They believe in themselves. It would be nice if some of the fans would join them in that. Thank God this team doesn't have the thought process of some of the fans.

I'm just stunned. I didn't even yell in celebration, just wow.
I was going to bust on Jake for being invisible.
Flyers need to win three, Pens need to win four.
There is no quit in this team. Just hoping they don't expect this all the time.

i think the general consensus was frustration for seeing them get steamrolled the whole period, allowing a soft goal in the final minute and trailing by 3, not that the game or series was over. |

Im done posting on here for the rest of the playoffs. When I stopped Danny scored his 2nd. I'm probably spotting the Pens a goal for game 2 by posting this message. Enjoy the run everyone! |

I can't imagine if the Flyers lost this game after leading 3 zip. We'd be suicidal.
