The playoffs has just started. The first game isn't even over yet. - MJL
Oh I know. I just don;t like how the game has gone exactly as the Pens would have hoped for. The onslaught, the limited fightback, the putaway (forthcoming) in the 3rd. The first period was inexcusable. |

They arent that far off either imo, but they do not have guys who bring a consistent physical game.
Let me rephrase that, they do not have enough of those players.
I'd have Jagr walk and they need a physical guy for that for the fourth line that isnt going to take dumb penalties every game. - flyer_nutter
Yea. I just really like this team the way it is, I know they're not getting it done now but they are so likeable Id miss any of the forwards leaving........minus Shelley, but I dont despise him or anything, I just dont think they need him |

The Flyers are in no way beating the pens in terms of physicality.
Its not even close. - flyer_nutter
Disagree completely. It's pretty even.

i wouldn't say it's a drubbing, but the pens have been more physical in my view. |

Healthy scratch sir. - PLindbergh31
That's what I thought but I'm thinking he's in in game 2 if Lilja keeps up this play. |

Bryz has to shut it down now. No more goals.
I'd throw Voracek on the top line with Giroux. - flyer_nutter
Bryz has been fine, he had little chance on the first two goals, second period he was solid. The third goal was a bad one. One soft goal allowed in a playoff games more than often is enough to get you beat. |

Only in the second period. The first was all PEN. |

If Kubina was healthy, he would be playing tonight. - MJL
What's wrong with him? What is he listed as right now? |

Then put him in a Flyers uniform. |

Lilja, and MAB have struggled for sure. Doesn't help that they are on the ice a bunch against Crosby. |

I disagree completely with that.
Flyers have taken a beating with the severity of the hits.
Pens have not. |

the 2nd goal, the fruitbat didn't get it clean and it rolled and looked to fool him a bit. the 3rd goal took 2 bad bounces. |

refs have been brutal, but as a neutral fan it's been roughly fair for both teams. (I did miss the scrum at the end of the 2nd period because I switched to the NSH game). Both teams scored goals that technically shouldn't have counted.
That said, Flyers deserve at least one powerplay this period. |
