Obviously more than the LAUGHS... enjoy the downward spiral... as a team that does not draft you did not finish much higher than the oil... - saskoil21
Whoa easy easy, no need to start with the leafs chirps, i think we all know they suck at everything they do... I'm simply wondering how the oilers are able to draft 3 firsts in a row.. I wonder how tambo had the time to get back in his seat and daly had time to pull up his pants before the cameras started rolling |

Congrats to the Oilers and I'm not trying to offend but this isn't building the proper way. Detroit builds the proper way. Drafting solid players and actually building through their systems year after year while consistently being in the playoffs. Tanking isn't the "proper" way to build. - Gmcc24
I think the original post said RE-building the proper way. You must not remember the "Dead Things" era in Detroit's history. |

You guys better win the cup in the next 5-6 years.
Wait until these guys get older and demand super star money.
Dayum. I hate you guys. - jbold
Too much talent isn't a bad thing. When we can't afford all of our guys, we'll trade 1 for assets... Really good assets. |

Just saying. They can't draft a new city. - hankthetank
Quit your (frank)ing whining bumhole. Edmonton did sign a few last year and did get big names when they were winning in the 80's like Napier, Nillson, and who can forget the little finn Risto. |

Oilers haven't threatened to move yet. Though I'm not sure that would make any difference as they're a Canadian team. Not to mention the Oilers were still fans of their teams prior to 2005. - Fan2

So what do we need now, two solid defencemen and a goalie? God damn, I'm excited! |

Maybe if the Leafs win the lottery he'll package the pick with some other future assets for a 30 goal scorer. You know, to fast forward the rebuild and what not. - hankthetank

Congrats to the Oilers and I'm not trying to offend but this isn't building the proper way. Detroit builds the proper way. Drafting solid players and actually building through their systems year after year while consistently being in the playoffs. Being at the bottom of the league several years straight isn't the "proper" way to re-build. Notice I didn't say "tank" either lol. - Gmcc24

Draft Yakupov. and use him along with Hall, Ebs, and RNH to help get Suter to sign. he would be the missing piece. Why wouldn't a talent like Suter want to feed players like that.
i wonder what happens to Hemmer if Yakupov is drafted. i loved the way he played at the end of the season and he will hopefully dominate at the world. its a damn good place to be if your the oilers. |

Didn't I hear that 2-3 years ago But seriously, if the plan is going to be take Nail than this summer has to be entirely dedicated to acquiring d-men that are actually NHL caliber and as close to a #1 as we can find. Don't wait for Whitney to maybe get better. |

No doubt you guys will be an offensive force for years to come, assuming china doll Taylor Hall can stay healthy.
But someone better figure out how to get some defense or a future like the Washington Capitals is definitely a possibility, i.e. can't win in the playoffs. |

Did Gretz ever cry about clutching and grabbing? Though the being a Canadian team doesn't help either. |

The hilarious thing is that you'll pick Yakupov and end up in the lottery again next year because your blueline is no good.
If you somehow manage to end up with Jones in 2013 you might be ok - skelly96
The oilers should make a run @ Carey Price... they don't need anymore 1st... sign him to an offer sheet and Goaltending is complete... sign experience D and fowards to insulate the younger guys.
