Yakupov for captain.

Problem with trading Ebs is he's shown he's NHL capable. Not merely capable, but very good. Yakupov, assuming they take him, is not yet. His potential is definitely there, but he could be Stefan or Daigle for all we know. Way way way too premature to just assume he immediatly and without issue has A)NHL game and B) chemsitry with our existing players. That's why you wait unless something extraordinairy is offered.

Yeah, considering Hall is looking Hemsky-like with the injuries, it's a good idea to hold onto our other good, healthy players. I only brought up the possibilty of trading him to show what we might have to give up for that elusive, elite defenseman.

Columbus gets: 1st Overall, Sam Gagner, Linus Omark, Joe Colborne and perhaps another prospect from Toronto.
Edmonton gets: 2nd overall, 5th overall and Luke Schenn or Cody Franson.

Only time Oilers would trade is if this is what they were getting in return... as they could pick Grigorenko and then take a defenceman at 5, doubt Murray will be available.. but its always possible if the top 4 teams want Forwards, since the draft does have yapukov, grigorenko, galchenyuk and Forseberg.

Just meant down the road I would look at deals for a #1 D and Eberle wouldn't be completely out of the question if I felt I could make the team better with the return. Only if we were crowded in the top 6 and Yak proved to be an equal or better talent keep in mind
