I could see columbus trading down if they could get a couple firsts....
- Barx

Well MacArthur is worth a first, Burke told me... so its a done deal then.

Draft Galchenyuk or Forsberg to play with Kessel. Now they might be ready for next year, but those 2 are impact centers that would really help the leafs. Trade for Schneider or sign Josh Harding this year. DUMP useless players like Crabb, Armstrong, Lombardi, and get some real 3rd liners! And sign PARISE, do not sell the farm for the overrated Nash.
- Allstarzz

If and only if parise is available, and if parise is signed by toronto that totall throws nash to the fires since we wont be needing to trade for him while parise will come in a package with langenbrunner signing to bring veteran presence to the leafs to help phaneuf.

Cory schneider will not be traded, vokoun is too old we need a long run goalie, harding is good but someone said too many injuries and i really think he isnt the key to our success. Our BEST bet will take a chance on Bernier, trade for him, roll with Reimer and Bernier. See which goalie can handle the load better. As much as i like the monster, he did his services for toronto but showed that he cannot handle the number 1 spot to be number 1 goalie, reimer has shown that he could but with that injury held him back so he still has major potential and upside. The monster is a mere backup goalie that showed he can step up his game when the going gets tough. Bernier on the other hand has the upside to BE a number one goaltender since drafted as a 1st rounder pick guy

easier said than done.

i believe crabb is a ufa and the other 2 have 1 year left on their contracts do their time is coming to and end. not fast enought for some.

I would try to sign harding but don't think he would like to play in Toronto.
and Parise would need 7yr @7mil and even then, I don't think it will cut it to get him.

my 2 cents.

Earlier this year, Parise said he wouldn't go to Toronto or at least said he had no interest in TO.

how could you possibly call either Galchenyuk or Forsberg, 'impact centres ready to play next year'?
How many times have you seen Forsberg play, or howzabout Galchenyuk this year?

I say get rid of bozak. He played with two of the best players in he league for the majority of the year and still couldnt get 50 points.

Goalies:
Bernier
Reimer

Defense is fine, if u wanna sub in blacker for gunner be my guest. We dont need to go sign any defenders or trade for any defenders because we have a new system for defence, we have quality defenders, and as burke said as its the defences fault its the goalies fault, and quite frankly, it was the goalies fault this year as much as it was the defences

So wait it was the goalies making the defense look bad... not the defense leaving the goalies out to dry... or the defense AND goalies not being very good?

Just one goalie and a center and this team is good to go?

Agree with Burke - Pittsburgh was in the right place in the right time to grab two can't miss franchise players in Lemiuex and Crosby, while other teams fail to suck quite enough to get a top pick in the right year or get the top pick in a year when the best player is Greg Joly or Alexandre Daigle......sometimes is a LOT better to be lucky than good.....

reading his quotes again is enough to make me ill....absolute delusion.
burke is without a doubt the guy I wanted for this job, when he talked about all the mean nasty hockey coming to toronto and building from the net out, I was ready to wait for that to grow.
listening to his bullshat today almost 4 years later, about how he is going to acquire 4-5 big bodies so he can play a mean nasty style, and how he needed to address the goaltending, just came across as empty promises coming from a sad and defeated soldier.

Well what do you want me to say haha. We have no goalie or a number one centerman. Once you shift some players down, our forwards will be fine if we get a number once centerman or a player who is capable of playing center we need a top guy. Once we get an okay goalie, im sure the defence who are all quality guys will adapt well to carlyles defence set-up. Not like we have money to go throw around on more defence. We have a decent core of defense 5/6 guys that are good.
